Wait for them to come out on Ebay????   I am wanting to buy a set of

mint or NEW Cleveland HB3 irons left handed. I have been religiously checking ebay and other sites but these don't seem to be popping up very much. Either people are hanging on to them, or they are just downright rare!!! These are also holding VERY STRONG at 699.00 for the graphite shafts (which is what I am after) at all the major retailers.  Not sure when they will come down in price....or by how much!

Anyways, one online vendor (well known but won't post name) is offering 100.00 off coupon......+ free shipping....and if you put everything on their credit card....interest is deferred for 12 months and have to just pay minimum payment. Only other real negative is they charge sales tax. If I go through ebay, will probably be awhile before a new or mint set becomes available, won't pay sales tax but will have to do shipping charges.....and I have no idea about whether iron is legit or not......plus I would imagine that the bidding will be pretty popular on these so may not get them anyways!!!!

What would you do? it works out to 699 - 100.00=599.00 + 39.00 sales tax!!! Need your help in deciding here!!

Well, finding left-handed clubs in general is tough... finding them in your specifications (whatever that is) is tough too.  If the seller is reputable, and will sell you to your specifications (not just whatever the stock shaft is), I'd suggest going with that.

Do yourself a favor and contact Discount Dan's in Oregon. You won't be disappointed by their prices or their service. You can find their website online but you need to either call them or email them for their prices. It's the only place I buy my equipment.....and I buy a lot!

Hope that helps.

It's likely Golfsmith, they offer deals like this quite often and push their high interest credit card with deferred payments to make it more attractive.

    • Day 36: back to some mirror work tonight. Need a bit more forearm roll in my feels to help with the shallowing.
    • _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one. Day 1, May 4 2026.  At home today, spent nearly an hour in my practice room, hitting about three dozen practice balls, primarily with my 6-iron.
    • Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.
    • I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
    • I haven't been able to practice like I wanted and won't for the next week.  1. The weather sucks in Ohio this year. I have been mostly inside hitting foam balls. Just kind of my basic stuff.  2. I woke up last Saturday with a left side rib muscle on fire. If I turned or leaned a certain way it would spasm that almost buckled my knees. I have been taking a break to let that settle. I don't want to get a long term injury. I think I pinched a nerve or just aggravated a muscles.   3. I am going on a mini-vacation to Florida (screw you Ohio weather) with a friend, and rolling that into a work conference I have next week. I will be with out my clubs for a week.  I will be back next in two Fridays to hit the ground running with some warmer temps and better weather in Ohio, hopefully. I would really like to get more out on the course and the range.
