I dont have any fairway woods in my bag at the minute and havent for a while. I grew out of my old ones and now have enough spare cash to buy one.  I did order the r11 4 wood from an online golf shop but theyve half messed up my order so I am cancelling it.However any shop over here either has a 3 wood or 5 wood only no 4 wood.  I just want it as a go to club on tight par 4s and if i have a long second on par 5s.

The reason why i wanted a 4 wood is cause it practically goes as far as a 3 wood but higher and slightly easier to hit.  A  3 wood is slightly  harder to hit of the fairway compared to a 4 or 5.  A 5 wood is easiest to hit but doesnt go as far but is more accurate.  However to be honest I wouldnt need to hit a 3 wood of the fairway as the holes wouldnt be that long so a 5 sounds a better option there but isnt any where near as long of the tee. Any suggestions?  I could also adjust the loft of the 5 wood to help it go a bit further if need be of the tee.

Sounds like a 4W would fit you best.  It's a versatile single fairway wood.

The original Adams Tight Lie fairway wood was basically a 16* low-profile 4W.

I tend to go with a 3W + 5W (Raylor) because I need the extra distance.

I would go with a 4 wood.  I played a 17* cleveland launcher for years.  Great off the tee, from the fairway, and even from rough.  Now I carry a 17* hybrid which I hit anywhere from 255-270 depending on the shot type.  I would strongly consider a lower lofted hybrid in place of a wood.  Lot of options out there, good luck!
