Do you guys like to play video golf like Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007?
I'm hooked! If I can't play real golf this is almost as fun.
My son got it for Christmas and I couldn't wait to rip it open.
I like the team format in the 07 version. Seems to be harder to play too.
I loved 2005 challenging all the legends. It was cool to play against Hogan, Palmer, Nicklaus. Only problem I had was it was too easy. I wonder if the tour players can beat Tiger when they play the game?

Ha, yeah Tiger Woods is the best golf game out there by far! My old college roommates and I were hooked (to the point of neglecting our girlfriends - that was stupid... let me tell you).

I saw Tiger on Leno about a year back and he was saying that he loves his game and helps design it, etc. He also said he knows the kids in his "neighborhood" (how big is that neighborhood?) and invites them to play it with him. Apparently they stomp him! He said that he never wins because they're so much better than him at it. That's gotta be funny - getting your butt kicked on your own game by a bunch of little kids. Ha ha!

Does anyone know if there's any real gameplay difference between EA TW'07 on a PC vs a game system (ie XBox, PS2, etc.)? And gameplay only, not graphics differences.

All I know is TW for the Xbox is way too easy. I didn't try the full version of 07 on my 360 but I downloaded the demo. After making birdie on all holes I decided it is not for me. A friend who never played any version before tried it and made two birdies. Plus, EA's human models always have looked a bit creepy to me.

So I still play my tried and true Links 2004. So-so graphics (actually poor, compared to what we see today) but the closest thing to real golf I have found.

You are right cmarkmyers!!! I apologize for deviating this topic to a different one, but Links 2004 has been one of the best golf game ever!!!

I'm hooked on TW07 for the PC. The TrueSwing feature with the mouse is nice because it's not as easy as the console versions. Makes it kinda like playing Golden Tee.

TW07 is a great video game. I got hooked on it instantly, and recently just purchased the GolfLaunchpad Simulator which now allows me to play 'real' golf in the comfort of my own home with my clubs. Pretty sweet game for sure!

What is the Golflaunchpad simulator? Is this for playstation or something different?

As for Tiger07, I just beat Daly in the match play at central park. He must have had a peanalty on every hole. Just like real life.

It's for PC, but you can also get it for PS2 as well, check out

www.electricspin.com . Central Park is one of the more pretty tough courses in the game, good job on beating John Daly! haha

I love the 07 version. I've got my player to level 11 on everything!!!

The one thing i dont like is that to make it harder they have made the computer players better. This means at one tournament i shot 59,58,59,60 and there were computer players shooting 65,55,59,60. They need to improve the tournament play on the next one so that it is harder to shoot low numbers.

I love the game!!!

and im now playing the UK major at st andrews after completing the team tour. It will be the closest i ever come to winning the greatest prize in golf.
Golf is a game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into an even smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-designed for the purpose.

I totaly agree popey, they need to make the game harder. I'm tired of shooting 55's.
It would be so much more realistic if you struggled to go under 70.
The putting is a little harder this version but if you watch the preview of the putt you can usually find something in the background to line up your putt.

If any of you have the XBox 360 version, you will know how much more difficult it is. My friend has the PS2 version and was bragging about how easy it was. He came down and took a few beatings from me in the XBox 360 version. It's twice as difficult as the PS2 version and much more realistic as well.

I haven't even gotten close to winning a tournament yet in the FedEx Cup mode, and it's been tough advancing through World Tour mode as well.

Tiger Woods 2007 is the best golf game I've ever played by far. The XBox 360 version is awesome!

I have every version of the game going back to when it was Called PGA (Insert Year Here). I started with the Sega Genesis and then went to the PS1 and finally the PS2 about 5 years ago. I could have had a PS3 the Monday before Christmas, but figured that $600 was a little too steep to spend when there was still shopping to do. I'll wait a few months on that one.

Anyway back to the point. The game has continued to get better year in and year out since it's inception. 04 and 05 it took a quantum leap forward. I didn't like 06 when I first played it because I thought they messed with the mechanics of making the player swing too much. I have had 07 for about 2 months and finally took the plastic off it right before Christmas. I was only able to play for about 15 minutes, but loved what I saw.

The only problem I have with the whole thing is the time it takes to play. 18 holes takes about an hour. If you earn advancements you can spend another 1/2 hour messing with your player. To get anywhere with it takes hours. With 2 kids that like to use the PS2 as well, my time is limited. I'm luck to get in an hour a week on the system.
