If I"m playing golf in the morning I will pound some coffee first thing so I can get the duece out of the way before I get to the course. if I don't get it done, my stomach will bother me the whole round and throw me off. Beyond that, I'm pretty open.

No alcohol before or during.  I tried drinking a couple of cans of beer while playing once, I started out okay (pre-alcohol state), but as soon as that buzz came on, Bozo the clown took over my game.  Never again!

Other than alcohol, nothing really bothers my game as long as I do not over eat.  That is another game killer.  Feeling too full.

Alcohol is a tricky beast while golfing.

There is literally barely a difference between a full sober game and 1-2beers over 9 holes.

Then when you get to 3-5 beers theres a big dropoff.

By the time you get to 10+ beers magic strikes and you hit some amazingly good shots inbetween the stumbling and laughing and duffs.

During the round I take chocolate bars and some soft-drinks with me. I put the chocolate bars in the fridge the night before to give them a chance of not melting on a hot day. You need to wrap them in a towel though as they get condensation of the outside. I put my soft-drinks into one of those things cyclists use. I have not idea what they are called. It works though.

I don't consume alcohol, but that's because I'm always driving more than any concern about it impacting my performance (I can't get worse, lol).  Otherwise, I don't really have any limitations.  Mostly it's just lots of water, maybe some granola bars or something quick like that.

I have never even thought of this...I suppose one time I thought maybe too much coffee affected me, but I still drink my normal morning coffee.  I guess the one thing that I don't like doing is eating right before I play, so I make sure there is at an hour or better gab between eating and playing.

I honestly think I play as good as or better with a nice little buzz than I do sober.....it is just the way I have played for 15 years.....I have no problem drinking a double jack and diet before playing and a few more on the course......hell, I shot even par on the back 9 weekend in a blackout (I honestly had no recollection of the back 9 the next day....my buddy said I seemed pretty buzzed, but not completely out of it and played very solid)....crazy the shit that happens sometimes.

When time allows my typical pre-tourney breakfast is a Grand Slam with wheat pancakes, egg whites and turkey bacon. Just the right amount of food.

If I'm not playing alone I avoid egg mcmuffins,  or any morning where I'll be around others for that matter. I'm fine with their burritos, bacon egg and cheese etc, but something with my gut and the way they do those mcmuffin eggs...lets just say I've had my cousin begging for air going down the highway with the ragtop down. But boy are they tasty.
