This is a wierd shot i get. Lets say i take a sandwedge, to hit a full shot. I take no divot, but the ball is launched at a very low trajectory, and it feels like i am scooping the ball, rather than striking the ball. I am not hitting the ball with the leading edge, its just a wierd shot. I found i was doing this with chips and pitches as well, and it caused alot of issues.

How do you keep yourself from helping the ball into the air and letting the club do the work.

A full SW off a tightly cut fairway is one of the more difficult shots in golf...so don't beat yourself up too badly.  unlike a 460cc driver on a tee that u can sweep or a 7 iron off a fluffy lie in the rough, there is NO margin for error with the shot you mention.  Its easy to diagnose...you are casting and loosing your wrist hinge...the only way to not hit 6" behind the ball is to pop up with either your spine angle (sorry inclination haha) or your legs.  If you time it perfect you scoop the ball with no divot...if you don't you top it over the green into a pond.

There is no cure other than about 100 hours of practice.

I never said it was a tight lie. These shots happen out of the rough, and our fairways have been cut at double the height there normally at because of the rain. Its so much rain there has been so much grass growth that the mowers can't handle the wet grass, so they have just been able to cut them recently. Last week our fairways were like rough at sometimes, i mean you lost balls in the middle of the fairway, because they would plug under 2 inches of grass. Now there about an inch of grass in the fairway. So there is no issue about tight lies. This is a full wedge from soft, semi-fairway, taking no divot.

Though your diagnosis seems correct, because another symptom i have had is very high iron shots. I have thought i have been loosing my wrist hinge. Its not so bad that i loose it early in the backswing, but its really close to impact.

I think I know what you mean. I think maybe you know that that result is possible when you stand up to the shot. All you don't want to do is repeat that low shot that cruises over the green...so all you end up doing is exactly that. In other words, you're not committing to the shot you're wanting to make. Maybe standing up on it too early instead of hitting down, through the ball and trusting the club will do the work.
