Now that we have to wear sunglasses to visit TST .....

I have been at the practice green for an hour per day last week and have discovered something that works for me, let's share it with you.

I used to mark my ball at the green, then carefully read the line, replace the ball with the aiming arrow or marked a straight line on it and exactly pointed that line on the putting line, but is is so easely to point that a few degrees off the line (at least for me it is).

So ...... I did it my way, I turned the ball over and over and it has a side with no markins at all, put that on top and gone is the distraction ...... just put the ball in the hole, without looking at arrows etc. that might be slightly off target.

Try it ...... you might like it !!!

I tend to switch between these methods during a round to be honest. When I get to the green and check out the situation, sometimes I just like the look of the putt for myself. So I just clean my ball and put it back without lining it up. And I'll putt it exactly as I see it.

Other times putts look a little snaky to me and I'll read it then line up so I'm just thinking about the roll and not the line.

This is good! if you can see its a few degrees off, you compensate for it in your address. that way you can only miss one way
