This is a great little app letting you drag a slider to change Congressional to the setup for the US open.

I've broken 80 lots.  I'm pretty sure I would seriously struggle to break 100 with fairways that tight.  That looks like 40 feet or so.  That's teensy-tiny when you're hitting driver.  This will be an exciting open.  I predict Edoardo Molinari.

523 yard finishing hole...par 4....wow

Those are some tight fairways.

Can't wait to see the pros struggle

I think I would shoot around 110-120 on a good day

I don't think the overall length would kill me(except 18..I would absolutely struggle to get anywhere close in 2) but I'd probably spend the entire day playing from rough and bunkers I'd predict and have no real shot at any of the other par 4's either. 110-120

I would think a typical par 4 for me would be Drive, miss fairway, hack it out short to fairway, don't get greedy go for middle of the green, try to two-putt.  That would be a bogey at best, double or triple if any additional mistake was made  If you miss green on your approach, expect an extra shot penalty from trying to chip out of the scruff.  Par would probably be pretty rare unless I hit the fairway.  I'm around 55% on fairways and greens.  That's normal fairways which are probably twice as wide.  Maybe 20% fairways and greens on an open setup?  If I could hit 4 greens, I bet I could break 90, but that's a big if .  I think hitting 4 greens would be pretty damn decent for a 10-capper like myself.  Probably unrealistic too.  Now add the pressure of competition, and, well, probably pretty high like you said.  108 would be a double bogey per hole.  Let's just say it wouldn't be worthy of air-time

By the way, Hogan recorded 15 consecutive top-10s including 5 wins in this kind of environment using blades and balata balls.  How's that for ballstriking?

Extremely impressive run to say the least, but what do blades and balata balls have to do with his top-10s?  Everyone was using them.

Well.  Since you put it that way, I have no idea. It just sounded nice in my head.

I really like that "before" and "after" comparison. It's neat to see a side-by-side comparison of what happens to a course to make it challenging for professionals.

Make fairways the size of sidewalks, make everything towards trouble as slick as ice, and make greens hard and fast :D
