Ever had the day where it starts well and just gets worse? Was on the green in 2 on the first and 4 putted, shanked second tee shot and the subsequent 4 shots after that,....i walked off on the 12th before i wrapped my driver round me knee. Very near admitting defeat now.....

Yes! Happens a lot lately.

Thursday I was -1 through 6. I shanked my second shot into the junk, proceeded to make double and throw 3 clubs. Next tee shot went into the hazard and I threw my driver into a very large tree! It took 10 min of throwing stuff at it to get it down!

Tuesday I started with a birdie (kiss of death for me), needless to say, it was my last of the day. I hit one in the water and another out of bounds.......ugh!

I hate good starts

Golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated

That was my story basically every hole yesterday. I hit 5/6 fairways about 240-260 each (burner 3 wood is ridiculous) and still shot a 45 in 8 holes. I just got to my 2nd shot and started hacking away

Well not to be done over i headed to the range, aahhh much better :) Have noticed my shots get better the more i choke down on the grip through all clubs, could they be too long? Im sure i did the wrist to floor measurement once and it reckoned i needed clubs 1/2 inch shorter than standard

I have having "one of those days" over and over a few months ago. I would start a round driving great and 8, 9, or 10 holes into it, if not sooner, I would start pull hooking everything! I worked endlessly to get rid of the hook and eventually I did.. Now I'm dealing with a slice again. Awesome!

Last weekend, I played a new course and on the first hole, I drilled my tee drive with a soft draw dead on line to my target.  From there, I commenced to chunk, pull, push and flub all my shots.  For the rest of the day, I only had three more good shots.  Those three good shots were the three shots of Jack Daniels I drank after my round.  Sometimes, you just have to celebrate your epic failures.  And, trust me, my failure on the course that day was indeed epic.

Had a round a couple of weeks ago - birdied 6 to get to 1 over.  Proceeded to go triple, double, bogey.  Back 9 was pretty good until 18 when I finished grandly - with a triple.

I swear this is gonna happen to me soon. As soon as i started killing my 3 wood (burner so it's very long and i adjust accordingly), i started hitting these shots with my irons that go straight down right to left. After a nice range sesh where i fix it out, i can garauntee i'll start pushing the ball like crazy. F this stupid game why do i love it so much again?

I had one of "those" days yesterday... Great start... Parred the 1st hole... Then dumped 2 in the water on the second... Front nine continued to deteriorate until I got to the 9th, where after hitting my tee shot in the water, I proceeded to hit two great shots and then hole a 45-50 foot putt.  Then played the back nine very well and parred the last 3 holes (first time I'd parred any of them!)  Gotta love the game!... :-)

I was raised on a cow ranch and we used to say "anyone that has never been thrown from a horse hasn't ridden much" (I cleaned that up a bit for publication).   Well I believe golf is the same way, anyone that has not had "one of those days" hasn't played much golf.
