The most important thing of which to take note is that this case is concerned with the wrongful death of a little, two year-old, girl named Caylee Anthony (wrongful in the sense that it is either murder, manslaughter, or country-fried Floridian gross negligence).

The Charges and Commensurate Penalties:

First-degree murder (Either the Death Penalty or Life Imprisonment)

Aggravated Child Abuse (30 Years)

Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child (30 Years)

4 Counts of Providing False Information to Investigators (1 Year per Offense)

I believe that Casey Anthony is a sociopathic, lying, little strumpet who murdered her daughter; and furthermore, I believe that she should be sentenced to death by great white shark (this is where the criminal is smeared with fresh tuna-chum and dropped into the middle of a feeding frenzy).

Sorry if this is a dumb question- but why was this particular trial such big news? Sorry if that sounds insensitive, but why this trial and not another of a similar nature? EDIT: Never mind, a Google search answered that question. It's a pretty interesting case to say the least.

It was a tough case and they just didn't have enough solid evidence so the verdict wasn't that shocking. I think everything she did was rather shady but you can't convict someone based on what you think you have to look at the evidence.

It seems like they just didn't quite have enough hard evidence, a lot was circumstantial (that Law and Order lingo just exhausted my entire legal vocabulary). She clearly lost in the court of public opinion though.

IMHO everyone lost.  The prosecutors presented a lot of evidence but none of it sufficiently tied back to Casey.  I believe Casey was somehow involved in her daughters death, but we'll never know for sure.  The defense argued that the girl died in the family pool, but then why would they put duct tape over her mouth, doesn't make sense.

The family is destroyed, Caylee is dead, Caseys mother and father publicly stated they believed Casey was guilty, Casey accuses her father of assisting her in covering up the drowning, and sexual abuse.  I see this ending badly for all parties as the press will hound them all until the truth comes out.

it won't happen. this hearing and case has been bludgened by the media to a point where i wouldn't be surprised if they a) moved, b) were relocated by the us marshalls service or c) went hermit. this case has so many holes, so many questions that neither side could figure out let alone try to put together. the parents are just as guilty as casey would be for her missing for so long. they lived with caylee for every day since she was born and you mean to tell me after a MONTH you wouldn't be all over lookin for her? comon man. as for casey, it COULD be true that if things in their family happened they acted as though nothing was wrong...so she could've been acting as she knew best...like nothing was wrong. i honestly wasn't surprised by the verdict b/c the prosecution's case was, as My Cousin Vinny would say...is like a playing card, and played into the defense's cross exams and rebuttals. i'm not mad about the verdict as to be honest, i think it was the right one to come forward with, based on the case by the prosecution.

    • Have a 19° (moved to 20.5°) Titleist 915H. I just love the club. Beautiful feel off the sweetspot, high launch, soft landing. Versatile. In the future, with less overall speed I will replace my 4 and 5 irons with another hybrid, something around 26°.
    • Broke the head of a Stealth Plus on a warm up. TaylorMade send me a new head but I decided to upgrade it to the new IQ10 LS and pay the difference. While I was waiting for the 8° head to arrive at the store I messed around with all the multi brand putts they had available. I instantly liked a black TaylorMade Spider, not the new one but very similar. The weight felt perfect. Big line in the middle for easy alignment. I was playing and old Zebra so the change in technology and feel was huge. Fast review of both clubs.. Driver QI10 LS. I always hit to ball up in the sky. I was playing the stealth at 7° with a 60g X low flight shaft and I was still hitting it pretty high. With the QI10 playing it at 6° now is almost hard for me to hit it high, with the same shaft the ball comes out lower and with less spin. so I'm really happy with the change. Putter Spider. I love it. It took me an afternoon to figure out how to grip it (it comes with a superStroke grip) but after that it all came into place. More stable on short putts and a good weight to swing smoothly on long putts and with added forgiveness over my old zebra.
    • I have a 2h but we don’t get along anymore. It’s a bit of an abusive relationship - she gives me just enough hope once in a while that things are going to be better and then it’s back to the same old shit. I went to a PING fitting recently with the intention to replace the hybrid with a 5w or something, thinking maybe I’ll be better with a fairway wood than a hybrid. But it turns out the best club I hit that fits in that slot in the bag is another hybrid so I ordered it.
    • Day 547, May 2, 2024 18 holes with @DrizZzY using my TruStick®. Hit a LOT of really good shots today.
    • Not the last thing I bought or bought anything at all but Sun Day Red stuff seems a bit overpriced for it essentially being rebranded Nike apparel. I'm hearing the resale prices are wild though. Either way, I highly doubt I will indulge as I'm not much of a brand guy or a collector. But to keep up my super nice guy image have never turned down a gift though 😇 Tiger doesn't seem to sell stuff like MJ or Kanye did.
