Hi,

I am a new member of this website. I am about to enter a pool for the british open, we are requested to pick 12 players. And to be honest I am pretty new at all this, I was wondering if some of you guys could help me with that! We have to pick, what we think will be the top 12!

Looking forward to reading your opinions!

1) Rory (just because of his iron play is so pure, and the rough hasn't grown fast over there)

2) Luke Donald

3) Louis Ohestesan (spelling?)

4) Jason Day, he has been in there the last two majors

5) K.J. choi

But the kid i think who might be the next breakout this week would be Jason Day, he's been play so well. Theres my top 5

They don't have to be in order. It's a very hard thing to do I find, the last time we did it, some people lost 4-5 players, I hope none of them will withdraw! Haha!

That Oosthuizen spelling was terrible

Didn't Sergio Garcia withdraw from a few games? Yet again, he will be at home this time, maybe that will keep him going...

I believe you are referring to Sergio withdrawing from a qualifier for the Open due to a finger injury.  But he qualified for the Open by virtue of his second place finish at BMW Championship.

    • Day 141 12-31 Reconnecting arm and club face work. Making sure left wrist is arched only on the downswing. Not doing full swings, im pausing at the top and will do a few rehearsals.  Hit a few real balls  after, and had some curve way left.
    • That was a good watch. When I started working on pelvis in the backswing. I thought, this sounds contradictory to those leg straightening threads on the site. Erik has already done a correction. Then the last lesson we went more down the route of feeling the right knee gains flex. It doesn’t, but the feeling keeps my knee position in a good range. Also, I just realized how much extra work my right hip needed to do to stabilize the body with the proper weight shift. Those glute and hip stabilizers got worked. 🤣 I wish this evolution in the golf instruction happened 20 years ago! 😭
    • I've been Playing Golf for: 40 yrs My current handicap index or average score is: 4.0 factor My typical ball flight is: Straight however sometimes slight draw. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: squirt to the right due to to much arm not enough turn.
