Love this thread...I've been following David Duval for a while, and was hoping that he would have a great "Roy Hobbs" comeback and find the swing that got him a 59 in tournament play not that long ago. I really like him...wild to see a former World #1 struggle to even make a cut. Daly is the other one that many of us would like to see find a steady groove of making cuts, having fun and giving it a run again.

If you look at Duval's score cards from recent tourneys, he still makes the birds, its just the bogeys and doubles that are the new addition to his game. Consistancy comes with play...hope his family is OK and that he comes back to the tour.

Yeah, that's a good point. Duval does still make birdies but always seems to have a bunch of bogeys or doubles. If you look at a leaderboard on a Thursday afternoon it's not uncommon to see him (when he's playing) sitting there a -3 or -4, its just that he can't maintain it for very long.

You're right about Daly too. Once Duval actually starts playing again I think there's a better chance of him consistantly making cuts than Daly. Daly is now 40 years old and (obviously) not in good shape. But still it would be nice to see them both contend in tournaments this year.

Rather have Daly contending than Duval any day. Duval always was withdrawn from the fans but Daly is a hoot(er)

Yeah David Duval was a good golfer. I'd like to see him come back. I remember watching him at Medina Country Club during the PGA Championship.

    • Day 9, May 13.  After work, I went to my practice room for a dozen balls (two sessions of a half dozen each).  I may do more later, but I wanted to make sure I posted here too.  Same priority as yesterday, with the arms lifting.
    • Day 263 6-13 Setup alignment stick station for hands off body drill. Worked on wrist arch as well. Working on not hitting the stick 😀
    • Day 64 (13 May 26) - last practice of golf team for the school golf team….got to hit a few balls while working with the kids.
    • Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.
    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)
