I'm currently using a Cleveland HiBore Monster XLS, and while I liked it at first..I think it's time to try out something else. The head is just too monsterous, and I'd like to get a regular shaft instead of the stiff shaft I have on it, since I've slowed my swing down a little. I'm basically looking to spend $80-100 on a used driver off eBay or Craigslist, and looking for some good ideas. I was thinking of going with a R7 or a 09 burner. I sometimes have a tendency to slice the ball every now and then, but nothing too severe.

Previous year's models are now under $100 ; for example, the Nike DyMos are at that price point, even those still in shrinkwrap, at the golf shops near me. You could go to a component company, such as GolfWorks, and try their clubs. They're also having free custom assembly (normally $10) on club "packs" (pre-packaged combination of head, shaft, and grip), along with that you can specify things (over/under standard length, etc). For example, the CER VX Turbine driver, under this, would be $80 + shipping. Used clubs are OK, if you fit whatever specifications you can find, and if you don't mind that someone else has used it before. I've certainly gone through my share of used clubs. At the moment, though, the only club in my bag that was pre-owned is my putter.

I recently picked up a Callaway FT-IQ driver brand new off rockbottomgolf.com

They sell them for $119 on their site, but check their ebay store.  I was able to get one with a bid of $69.

I-mix version, Regular flex Mitsubishi Rayon Fubuki 60 shaft.

After 2 rounds and a range session with it and I am a believer.  I was always so errant off the tee with a driver.  This thing is like clockwork.  Nice little fade (which I've never played before) and distance is normally 205 carry and about 210-240 (depending on how much roll I get) with an 82 mph swing speed.

My previous 3 drivers were (Cleveland Launcher 400, TM r9 460, Nickent 4dx Evolver).  No consistency at all with those from tee shot to tee shot.  Really like the shaft it came with.  The regular flex seems perfect for my swing speed as is plays softer than most R flexes but firmer than a senior flex.
