yesterday played in a stableford comp, and my right ankle is in agony feels like it did when i had my cast off after breaking it playing rugby!!

i thought if i'd hurt anything it'd be my back or somthing! was gunna go out and play again today but will only make my ankle worse
really thinking about going to get it checked out

every sport has their dangers man. golf is hard on the ankles especially because your walking all over the course unless you have a cart. you could also slip and fall and throw out you back or break a leg or something. hope you get better soon though

Injuries are the most frustrating thing I deal with in golf. I can fix swing and equipment issues in a day or two but healing is up to God, not me and I am not a very patient person. I am missing my first week of golf since the snow melted and I am climbing the walls wanting to get out of the house. Last week I was just killing the driver to the point of swinging like JD and I pulled some muscle in my right ribcage. This hurts worse than when I broke my collar bone and after an entire week has shown no inclination of getting better. I have read that this is a 2 week to 3 month turnaround and I just might lose my mind if I'm not able to play until Thanksgiving. Perhaps I need to see a sports injury specialist because while I have played through pain before (left knee, bad back and wrist injuries) this one has hindered me from any kind of swing at all.

u might want to get an ankle brace. if u do you might be able to play if u wanted to until it heals up. you might have over extended it when you pivoted it or you might have put to much weight on it while doing it

Did you twist your ankle, you might have really over spun it and tweaked it a bit. If your really rolling it over you are rotating to much anyways. If you notice, most pro's just come to a nice finish on that toe, they don't spin fast to it.

If you have weak ankles, just try balancing on one leg each night to strengthen it. Then you can add movement to it, move your other leg forward back to the left, in different directions to make it harder to balance. You can also stand ontop of a folded workout mat as well.
