Ideas include: a hole in one? maybe a round under par or a round under 80/90? to hit every fairway and green in regulation during a round? a double eagle? 25 putts or less? 4 or more birdies?  Please Share.

Well keep trying because one of them is bound to drop! I am fortunate enough to have two. I plan to get to double digits by the end of my lifetime, but the thing about golf is you just never know.

My goal every year is to get my lowest score lower, i don't try to get a hole in one, but hey if i do then thats great, but you should make your goals more and more challenging every year to get you better.

I'm sure you will break 80 very soon. I just started golf 3 years ago and my first year I was in the 100s and now I'm 20-25 strokes less. It just takes hard work and a little patience.

Stewie007 no one curses and slams clubs as much as me. but i knew i was hurting my game so i had to stop. bow im not going to stand here and tell you it was easy, because it was not. even till this day i wanna snap all of my clubs into tiny bits when i have a bad shot, but i know if i do people start to judge you, and you don't want that.

A hole in one would be cool but it's not really a goal for me... so much of that is just luck...

My long term goal is to eventually be a scratch golfer... by the end of the year I want to break 85 at my home course and shoot around that range consistently.

Ive come to that realization as well. Its to the point where I'll find myself cursing and acting like a fool, but the slamming of the shaft to the ground (never threw clubs, to worried about hurting someone) has pretty much stopped. I like to try to blame the equipment, but as I place my club back in the bag I know exactly who I was cursing.

Reminds me of a anecdote from someone at work.

"I was playing golf with my dad and it was horrible. I would take a shot and I'd curse, I'd grunt, and I'd just get so pissed that I couldn't seem to get a decent shot. Then my dad says, 'What are you getting so worked up about, you're not that good.'"

Oh! I forgot my most important goal!

To cut my # of putts per round in half! This one is the reason for my 31...

      Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.

      Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.

      Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
