Let's hear em!

I saw a drill that I practice indoors, Michael Breed from the golf fix showed it.

Take a battery and putt it.  If your alignment is dead on, then the battery should torpedo forward instead of turning and rolling.

It's INCREDIBLY HARD!!!!!  I probably can do it one out of 10 putts.

What are your putting drills, tips, etc. for the winter months?

I go to Florida a few times and play... But I also have a putting mat just to keep my stroke in my head.

In the winter months i don't worry about speed at all, my carpet in my apartments is about a 5 on the step meter..

A few ideas, i kinda like the battery idea. I also like, if you can find some old pieces of carpet, or a cheap rug. Putt two dots down, one were the ball will go, another about 1-2 inches infront of the ball. Then try to putt so the ball always goes over tha mark. What might help out as well, draw a line parallel to the edge of the rug, and then a perpendicular line just behind were your ball would be. Now you have a square alignment you can look at and get use to.

Another trick is to put rubber bands around the putter face, creating a smaller zone were you can hit the ball. This way you can train to hit the center of the clubface.

I try to mix it up and do different drills.  One fun/difficult drill:  I will take two balls and put them 1 1/2 balls apart from eachother.  Then I try to putt between them at 1ft.  If I do 10 in a row, I move back to 2ft, 3ft etc.  I can then move the balls closer together if it gets too easy.  Doing it once is easy, but 10 in a row is tough.  Try it by walking away from the putt each time and don't just pull a ball and hit again.
