Depends on how fast the greens are moving, but usually I'll use a 52/8 wedge. 56 wedge if the greens are quick.

52.08 wedge.

56.14 for me.  Though I've been playing around a ton lately with my 62.12 and having a lot of fun with it right around the green.  I don't think I'd switch it to my normal chipping club, but it's great to have those extra shot types in the bag if need them.

My go to wedge close to the green is my 60˚.  Stock pitch gets good height and stops fairly quickly.  Back in the stance little chip still gets a bit of height and always checks well, never blasting past the hole like a slight miss on a chip with a 7i-9i.  And it's got low bounce, so on anything but the tightest lies I can slide it under for a super high flop when needed.

I've recently been playing my 54˚ more often for slightly longer pitches though, as I've found I prefer a shot that feels more like a 1/3 shot with the 54˚ from 40-60 yards than what feels like a 2/3 shot, which is the one required for that distance with my 60˚.

I bring both my a 56* and 60* to the green but I always end up using my 56* unless I'm shortsided.

I have used my 60 my whole life anywhere inside 100 yards, and i got pretty good at using it so i never tried using a different club.  I figured if it aint broke dont fix it. Over the last year however, my chipping has gotten terrible, i think because work is getting in the way. I just cannot get the feel around the green and it is costing me some strokes and some great rounds that could have happend.

I just have never practiced with different wedges and have no feel for hitting a bump and run 7 iron from the rough 5 ft off the green.  I wished i practiced these shots when i was younger as it would have benefited me during times like this, when my feel is gone and no where to be found.  It would be better to play a 7iron bump shot and let the green do the work instead of flying the ball the whole way with a lob wedge.

I am deffiently going to work on this over the winter and hopefully 2012 will go a little better.
