I went to dicks to hit the Rocketballz driver at lunch it was a little disapointing and the ball felt dead coming off the face. It was taped for sure, so I'm sure that had something to do with it, but still it was disapointing. Or.. maybe I don't know what I'm talking about

I hit the R11 a few times last year and thought that felt a little soft...but it went as far as most other drivers I've hit so didn't bother me

I hit both the RBZ and R11S and my preference was the R11S. But I didn't see much difference between it and my current R11 TP. But I also didn't like the setup they had at Golf Galaxy... And will give them another test drive once the fitter I use gets them in house on Friday.

I hit both the other day as well and i would go with the R11s over the RBZ.  The weight felt so much better in the R11s.  I did also hit the rbz 5 wood and was smoking it.  I would put the 3 and the 5 in my bag tomorrow if i had the money to drop.

Im surprised to hear you didnt like the RBZ.  Theres great press for these clubs all over Twitter.  Your description kind of reminds me of the R9 driver that I used to game.  Nice club that was easy to hit but the ball just didnt pop off of the face like youd think it would.

I just got a Rocketballz 4 hybrid today and loved it in the simulator. For someone that doesn't hit the ball a long way I was really pumped about seeing a consistent 5 yards of added carry. Needless to say my new orleans trip can't come quick enough

I Hit the RBZ and R11 and a few other black faced clubs, The RBZ an R11 Are the only 2 clubs (with Black Face)  that had feel and sound compared to my Burner 09 Driver, I purchased the RBZ and I love it, New Look compared to my Burner 09, Ball goes off the face and it has a few adjustment to have fun with.

Sounds like more prefer the R11s over the RBZ driver. Why the fascination with the RBZ fairway? Does the RBZ speed pocket really out perform the R11s fairway?

IMO, its because the RBZ is pretty much a driver with a 3-wood shaft.  For a 3-wood its got a really springy face.

I hit the RBZ 3 wood 15 degree today. Amazing. I toned it down and hit multiple over 280. I turned it up a notch and blew some out there over 300. Now I'm not sure that I would want my 3 wood to go that far but it was still crazy that I could even do that. My current R9 3 wood maxes out at 260 or so. I thought the feel out the club was better than most people had said.

Now i also hit the r11s clubs and didn't see that much of a distance from the current one. I needed a stiffer shaft on the club which golf galaxy wasn't able to do. I am gonna stick with my current set up but anyone looking for a boost in distance would really benefit from the RBZ.

I picked up the RBZ 3H with a stiff 65g shaft on Friday night. I need to get some more work in with it. But after 36 holes, I've hit it ~ 6 times. I'd say my best swing was from 235yds out on a par 5 from the rough with a decent lie... I hit it 225 into a green side bunker left. Had fabulous turf interaction and the ball just soared. I've hit several fairways with it too just taking smooth tempo swings. I want the 3W, but my fitter won't have it until 3-15. :(

I hit my Speedline LP 15.5* Matrix HDA 70g vs the RBZ. Gained 8 yards. Wasn't surprised, the RBZ is bigger, longer, lighter. Both have the speed slot tech. For 8 yards I'm not jumping on board, but I did see some of the slower swingers at the launch have significant gains

Im thinking about getting the Speedline LP myself. The Taylormade RBZ is just a copy cat of what Adams has been doing for the last 2-3 years anyways. Personally, Im not impressed, plus I dont like the white. And like you said, its only slightly longer because its bigger. I'll take the Adams for playability. Im already playing the new Adams a12 (not the a12os) velocity slot tech 4 hybrid. And that club is freakin lonnnng!

In my Ogio bag.

Titleist 910D2 driver, Adams irons & hybrid, Callaway wedges & a Nike Method putter.

And a yellow ball.

How old is that Hogan?  I was digging in the garage yesterday and found an old 1980 Hogan Equalizer.  I wish I had the entire set.

    • So I am aware that "the committee is allowed to set its own standards of player conduct in a code of conduct adopted as a local rule" (rule 1.2b) I also understand that there are some aspects that are allowed to be entered, and some that are not allowed.  My question specifically is: In which form does this code of conduct need to be available? Is it enough for someone to say "that's part of our code of conduct", or is it a requirement, that the code of conduct is in written form? Also, is there a need that the local rule points to the code of conduct in any way?   For better understanding: I'm playing competition and the next course that we play has a "no smoking policy". I don't have a problem with it, as I don't smoke anyway, but one of my team-mates does, and someone told him "You'll get disqualified if you smoke on the course".   Now I have looked at their local rules and there is no reference to a "code of conduct". I'm not sure if they even have an official "code of conduct" that states that smoking is not allowed.   I fully agree that he SHOULD respect this request from the club, but I am wondering if the club would really be allowed to DQ this player for this, if it's not properly documented in their local rules/code of conduct?  This is an official national amateur tournament, so not just something organized by a club for its members.
    • A few months back I purchased the following swing aid on Amazon ($130). It is solidly made of steel and heavy and stable in use. I use it both at the range and at home. Swing Plate Dual PRO by Jamie Brittain - Swing Analyzer Aid - Fits Standard 8mm Alignment Rod Sticks - Teaching Swing Plane Perfector - Indoor/Outdoor Golfing Practice. This winter I set a goal for myself to improve my backswing/downswing to be more consistent and on plane. I had a two way miss with my approach shots this past golf season. I have a hitting set-up in my garage, but I needed something to provide feedback while swinging the club. I came across the Swing Plate while browsing YouTube.   I set it up with the correct angles for my 8 iron. I started out with just the back rod in place, which prevents me from getting too far inside on the backswing. Started out slow and as I got comfortable increased my swing speed. Now I also came across a YouTube video on building a better backswing and getting more width in the backswing and added that to my practice. That video is here:    This video is a bit wordy since you are basically a fly on the wall as Ian gets a lesson. It took a few replays to be able to get the substance of the instruction. It was well worth the effort. Over the last two weeks I have been able to get out on the course and gauge how successful my practice has been. Overall, my consistency with approach shots has improved greatly. Incorporating the added width in my swing has also added a few yards to all my clubs.  What has your off-season training been like?
