Would have thought that this was just another way to get disqualified?

Im assuming they use them on the range and jump straight to the tee?

For what possible reason would they get disqualified?

They go straight from the range to the putting green or tee.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

You're right. Range to the tee. Then from the course back and to the range. Where else are they going to keep them? They don't count as a club, and they don't use them during play. No harm, no foul.

yeah exactly,  they are just there because the caddy doesnt want to walk to his car and throw them in.   And they really dont take up any room...

Hmm.  I've got an old telescoping fishing rod which lost the tip end.  Think i will try that in my bag and test it on the range.  Thanks for the tip, Phil !!

colncidentally…..I carry an extra shaft for driver (adjustable), and even though I am not permitted to make adjustments or change shafts during the round, the extra shaft is an excellent place to hold a head cover and not as conspicuous as an alignment rod. I have lost more than one headcover pacing them in the basket behind the cart seat, or have one fall off between holes.  oops...failed to notice the age of this thread, sorry.
