an iconic site for those of us in LA.  off the 405 in carson, the big golf dude stood by staring at us all while we sat in stop-and-go traffic.   well, for those that don't know, the course is closing April 2nd.  and what is going in?  porsche bought the property and will be putting in an "adult-style" malibu grand prix.  so sad, i like the range (automatic tees, FTW..) and the 18 hole 3-par was good for the short game practice.    this range was on my way to-fro work, so i'd hit it several times a week.  very sad to see it go...

That dude always freaked me out when I drove passed.

Anyhow, I used to work in Carson so I played that place a handful of times. Sad news.

That's tragic. Wasn't it listed as one of the best driving ranges in the state?

Isn't there already a go-kart place right accross from it?  I used to play there when I first started to take up the game in the early 80's; haven't played it in 15 years.

I'll have to play it before it closes...........I drive by often enough.

I did visit the driving range, it's one of those where the ball is auto loaded so you don't have to do anything but pound that driver!  I ran away!
