Just thought I'd share this link as I found it incredibly interesting. I had no idea that Rory was only 5'9" while hitting the ball as far as he does. Now whether or not he hits it as far as he does because of the reasons he explained in the video I'm not sure. But still, I thought that those were some cool stats they threw out there.

I love Rory's swing and it does not surprise me that he hits it a long way. Like all long drivers say, the hips play a major role in getting good distance. Leverage will give you a little advantage, but technique will always be the major factor. Rory hits it a long way, while Tim Clark, only two inches shorter, is considerably shorter. Luke Donald is 5'9", but is shorter than Rory. Like mentioned in the video, Rory create a big amount of clubhead speed.
