So as some of you know, I'm an aspiring SnT'er. Since starting to work on this method I've had some great improvements - Ball first contact almost every time and nice divots ahead of the ball and tons more distance. However (why is there always a G-damn however!!!) I seem to block 8 out of 10 shots dead right, no curve just straight push. It tends to be a BIG push, as much as 10-15 yards offline.

Now when I look up this fault in my SnT book it suggest that I need to get my path further to the right but that doesn't seem to click with me. Here's why:

I think (and correct me if I'm wrong) that with a dead push it's clear that my face is pointing right at impact and my path is already nicely inside-out otherwise I would be hitting monstrous slices - as previously stated, these are BIG pushes! Given how far right I'm pushing it and the lack of any significant curvature leads me to believe that my path is plenty right already. I feel that getting my path further to the right will eventually create a draw but wouldn't it create a ridiculously big draw? I mean path does contribute to starting line to a minor extent, it's not the main influence but, from what I understand, it is an influence. Pushing my path further right would increase my, already massive push, slightly further right before bending it back. Gonna be hard to play good golf like that!

Should I be working on something to increase my rate of closure of the clubface? Maybe as simple as a grip tweak? Palmar Flexion? I've played around a bit with both of these but they both tend to throw my whole swing out of whack and I am actually quite happy with my consistency and contact quality that I'm getting now, just need to find the missing piece to get the damn thing to turn over.

My grip right now is fairly neutral but I find that strengthening it makes it hard to get my hands deep.

*Side note* with my driver I hit push-slices but I'm pretty sure it's the same root problem just magnified by the length of the shaft and the increased whippy-ness of the graphite. In any case, the drivers staying in the garage until I can get these irons working the way I want. Kinda sad, I was hitting beautiful straight drives this winter in the local dome and then it all went away

Your assessment that the face and path are matching up is correct.  And yes if they are big pushes the club is aimed too far to the right at impact.  You don't want to fool around with manipulating the clubface, that make things more eradicate.  Without seeing your swing I'm guessing the club head is inside the hands at A6.  I'm thinking your head is moving off the "wall".  From the top of the back swing feel the left shoulder stay lower, not letting it rise and the arms fire down.

Thanks Mike, I'll take a look.

I think I still have a *free* lesson that was part of my supporter package, and I just got a new camera (ELPH 300 HS) that can shoot 120fps so hopefully I can get a video together soon. The video's in myswing thread are still there but I was hitting it pretty straight back then...
