Ok, This is kind of a weird question, but I'll elaborate...

When I get inside of 100 yards I do not like to hit anything full... period...

So basically here's the scoop I hit my 9-iron 140 with a full swing PW 130 with a full swing and SW (54 degree) 105 with full swing... I like to lay off a 9-iron from 90-100 ( i mean really lay-off) and lay-off a wedge from maybe 70-90... inside of that it's an arms only sand wedge...

Is this strategy dangerous? I know being a 10 handicap I should know this... but what the heck I thought I would ask...

I'm not sure what you mean by dangerous..... The only thing I'd offer is that you might be a little more consistent and accurate to pick your favorite wedge and learn to hit it cosistently at varying distances inside 100 yds. Trying to drop a 140 yd 9 iron in from 90 yds is going to be a lot tougher than just choking down an inch on the 54 and taking 15 yds off while swinging pretty normally.

what I mean is usually from 50-70 yards I'll vary my length on backswing and swing with limited wrist action... kinda like an elongated chip shot

Nothing wrong with hitting partial shots.  You have probably found that your contact is usually better than with a full swing.  Being able to hit varying distances with different clubs will improve your scoring as you will now have the EXACT swing to make from, say, 75 yards (or 88 yards or whatever yardage you need).
