I do not have T.G.C. Cannot afford it with all my other bills.I have not seen T.G.Tommy, but did the man not go through what EVERY player who has been there say it is not a tournament but pure h**l? I am looking forward to watching his progress in 2008 and don't give a flying hoot about anything other than his "game".I wonder if his glove company will double his endorsement!!

I completely agree with those that oppose TTG! I've been around a lot of "Good Ole Boys" in my life and I don't see the Good Ole boy in TTG. He just seems like a weird dude. It's not normal to come off the 18th green at Q-school and proclaim how great you are. Taken out of context or not, if you saw the look and attitude on the guy's face, it was just wierd! I wish no ill will towards the guy but I am not a fan of his! You want to cheer for a good ole southern boy that can play and smile and have a good time then cheer for Boo Weekly! He's got more game and personality than TTG!!!!!

That's just it, taken in context, TTG didn't say that... The look on his face appeared to be exhaustion to me... At least he didn't give some cookie cutter publicist prepared speech..

Since most tour rookies are starved for earnings by the end of the summer, I look forward to Tommy Gainey playing in the fall series. I'm 2 hours from La Cantera in San Antonio and like to go to the Valero Open (beautiful course!).

I'm looking forward to driving down and following Tommy around for awhile. He seems more like a regular guy than most of the clones coming from the Nationwide tour. Now, if he can only perfect some kind of occasional personal eruption (like John Daly), he'll have one of the biggest galleries in the fall series events!

Maybe if he plays well people will watch him.I hope he has a good fall and is "groomed" by the right people to cope with the huge response he is surely in store for in 2008.

We all have different opinions of what we saw from TTG's post round interview, thats what freedom of speech is all about!

I do understand the grassroots support that TTG recieves because he is the poster child for a "hackers swing" that made it on tour. On a personal level he just doesn't do anything for me, but that doesn't mean I wish him any ill will. To me, the character "Junior" from the movie "Platoon" describes the TTG phenomenon best as a bunch of "REDNECK NOISE",,,LOL!!!

I guess I support TTG, not for his swing but because of it. It seems to me that there are a handful of swing coaches that help most of the "pro's" groove their swing. All of their swings are starting to look the same.

In fact, by modern swing standards Palmer and Trevino's swing may be considered a "hackers swing"... but hey, it did work for them.

Maybe its just me but I hate the guys nick name. Tommy Two Gloves. Every time I hear it I just think of the Monty Python Sketch about Arthur "Two Sheds" Jackson. Watch the following and replace Arthur "Two Sheds" Jackson with Tommy "two Gloves" and you'll see what I mean.

Not a huge feather in Tommy's hat, but a feather nevertheless. He picked up $9,805 at the Sony Open in Hawaii by finishing T70 & MDF, shooting 73-67; Two-Gloves finished tied with the likes of John Daly, Charles Howell III, Kevin Stadler & Angel Cabrera, among others.

    • Day 521 - 2026-03-06 Got some good work in for 15 minutes or so with someone overseeing. Downswing work.
    • Day 201 3-6 Wider backswing trying to blend it all together for a full swing. Not looking good yet.
    • Day 74 - 2026-03-06 Backswing work out back at the net. Slow.
    • Day 101: did a stack session. Worked on hands down in the mirror during breaks.
    • Got told off yesterday for doing full swings and full speed swings so went to the range this lunchtime and did some slow speed stuff and freezers. A few videos from my session.    First few are DTL then some FO This one is of me looking at the club on the way back. I think I get my arms lifting all the way back, not that you’d know because YouTube keeps glitching on me.    Second one is two slow backswings. This glitches the first one but the glitch looks like a pretty good position so I’ll live. Second one works. Then another swing back and hit. When I’m not watching or really focusing on it it seems that my upper arm doesn’t lift at first, rather stays roughly where it is and I add the lift at the end so the club comes a bit more inside. I think that’s what I’m going to focus on. This one glitches a bit too but it’s really just pausing. This shows the club coming a bit more inside but not as laid off at the top Then a couple of face on ones And lastly one smoothie and one freezer at normal speed  Quite happy with how this went. I can see my arms are better when I take it slower. Also while I’m still pitching my arms out it doesn’t seem to be as extreme as yesterday. Light at the end of the tunnel 🙂
