A different approach: buy impact labels and stick them on your driver; I'm betting the marks will either be center or out to the toe. Do the same thing with a mid iron, and make sure they're not hitting near the heel.

Hitting off the heel has been known to baffle the aspiring draw hitter; especially if you don't feel it and think you're making decent contact. Conversely, hitting off the toe will make a ball dive left, and any type of bad contact will make the ball do funky things.

I had this problem; I was hitting in a tight pattern on the face, a half inch inside the sweet spot. Big SGI irons muffled the feel and I couldn't explain the pushes and fades when I was setting up for a draw. Impact tape seldom lies, I corrected my setup and made a mental note that +.25" isn't necessary for my set. Now I'm hitting a slight draw with my mid to long clubs, just WAY too high.

You could be doing everything right mechanically to produce draw spin, but you need to hit the center of the face to produce the desired spin.

Because most people don't swing in to out so with their path across the ball out to in the only way they can draw the ball is to close the face a shit ton resulting in lower dynamic loft resulting in less backspin. But these are people who are using a fade swing with the handle back to try to draw the ball These aren't people drawing the ball properly. I think someone else said it but a pull-slice will go lower than a push-draw.[quote name="camper6" url="/t/60689/2nd-time-i-posted-this-still-cant-hit-a-draw/18#post_749209"] Can you tell me why a draw runs farther than a fade when it lands on a hard fairway? I went to the range today and was working on the draw I did well when I concentrated on the swing path.  I have to really keep my back swing inside out but it worked well I did it with a 7i 4i and the driver. The times it wasn't working I wasn't turning my wrists at impact and following through towards the 2nd baseman.  I can't wait to go back to the range and maybe try it a bit on the course. Thanks a lot for the help everyone if you have anymore tips or hints for me I need it I'm working on being a consistently in the 80's.
