Really?  How could you call it unplayable if you didn't yet know if it was yours?

You can take a practice swing in a regular bunker too, as long as you don't touch anything

I'm kind of amazed that with all the pros in all the bunkers over the years, I've never seen one accidentally touch the sand with a practice swing or waggle. It may be the camera angle, but sometimes it looks like they are just a fraction of an inch above the sand. I've seen many of them top a shot, whiff a shot, chunk a shot, skull a shot, or shank a shot, so you would think one of them would miss a practice swing by an inch, but if they ever have, I missed it.

Yes, you would.  I'm also surprised I've never seen one of them accidentally hit their ball during a practice putting stroke as it looks like some of them are only a fraction of an inch away from the ball itself.  (Sometimes see the same thing with chips)

It could be the same sort of "compression" that makes a six-foot putt look like a virtual tap-in from some angles.

But generally speaking, these guys are pretty good at striking the golf ball within about 1/8" or less, so I think they're capable of not missing the spot of air they're swinging at by an inch in a bunker. :) (I know, the odds are against it, but then again, we often don't see practice swings in bunkers, either.)

Well, if Dustin makes himself aware of the rules that wont be a problem.  He himself admitted that he screwed up at the PGA and didnt know what the rules were.  You cant feel sorry for a guy who is that incompetent.

But by not knowing the Rules of Golf he is preparing himself for a broadcasting career in golf once he stops playing.

But then again, what the hell do I know?
