Craigslist steal?

Ok I just order a set of adams a7os clubs that should be arriving tomorrow. But I was fighting off boredom at work and ran across a used set of clubs on craigslist that might be enough of a steal to return the adams.

I bought a new set of Mizuno MP-53s last year on Craig's List. About 10 minutes after I received them I started thinking they were counterfeit and, of course, they were.

I'd make sure any set I bought on Craig's List or eBay has matching serial numbers.

Regarding my story, earlier this year I bought the real deal MP-53s on eBay and, wow, are they better. I disassembled my fake set and sold the shafts (Nippon Steel 8950GH) and the heads separately. I got about $160 for all.

That has always been my fear with used clubs. But if I were to buy them I would go with ignorance is bliss and just not check. Assuming they are real is it worth returning the Adams?

What? A forged set of Nike irons? Are you like a 3 handicap or something? I heard those things are very difficult to hit, unless your name is Tiger.

I would stay away and keep the Adams you just ordered.

there is a difference between forged and muscleback. I started playing forged irons when I was like a 20 handicap. Sometimes "GI" clubs have to much offset. I also couldnt stand my pitching wedge actually being a 9iron.

I love my forged irons.

I've seen those irons sell new on eBay by reputable resellers for around $250 so it's not completely certain they are fake, but I'd check out the serial number to be sure.
