What ball(s) is in your bag?

Obviously most of us have an assortment, but if you had one "go-to" ball, what would that be and why? What was your first experience with it and how did it/does it affect your game?

I go with the E6. I had a nasty slice off the tee for a long time and in the midst of correcting my swing with more wrist-turnover I started using it and haven't looked back. Absolutely improved my game. It's great off the irons and gives consistent distance. I never knew how much a ball could impact one's game, especially when the ball is used exclusively.

I carry Callaways and Titleists as well, but only for holes with big hazards off the tee or near the green. A friend of mine and I walked a river through a local course and came up with over 600 balls, 500+ of which are an assortment of Bridgestones, Callaways, Nikes, and Titleists. Even with that being said, and those balls being in great condition, I buy my Bridgestones new.

What are your thoughts?

A few weeks ago I bought these. Was hoping these would be my go-to ball and my ball of choice for a long time.. boy was I wrong.

They are just horrible in my opinion.. every shot off the tee was just really heavy and had just the worst feel, it was as though I was pushing a pile of mud with a broom... im annoyed that I have to use 20 more of these.

haven't played with them yet.. but they seem like they will be a solid choice, and I hope have a nice hit off the tee like I'm used to.. this will end up being my ball of choice for a long time if they are half as good as people talk about them. Will buy more.

A few weeks ago I found a Titleist ProV1 on the course.. and it is a beauty.. I know why people love them now. Still have it and still rely on it when I just want to go for gold.

I've never had just 1 ball that i stuck with, never really bothered to since I was new to the game, just an assortment of random brands separated by quality and years.

Looking to change that. Maybe first I should learn more about golf balls. The 2(3) different cover types, compression/swing speed ratio, etc.

When I looked at the Bridgestone site, and they always recommend the E6.. unless I lie to them and say I do not fight a minor slice on tee shots sometimes.

I don't have an assortment!  I only have Nike One Tour's in my bag.  I have played ProV's in the past and still think they are the best ball in golf.  Their durability however is not to my liking.  The Nike One Tour's hit straighter then ProV's (a bit shorter in distance however), and seem to check up on the greens nicer.  The feel isn't as great as a ProV but nothing is in my opinion.

Top Flite Gamer V2.  Great combo of distance and spin.  Truly affordable 3-piece ball.

You must have looked in my bag if you know I have several types. I started last year so I bought any that were 50 cents or less each, of those I liked the wilson staff X1's IMHO a good ball for the money. Now I switch between Gamer V2 and Wilson Staff Zips. I could live with either one like them both Wilson has a higher flight off the driver and feels softer to me. Seems its tough to keep a good reasonably priced ball around now that Gamer has been sold again. PS playing partner found an NXT and gave it to me, I used it by mistake on the following hole after cleaning it and drove my longest to date. not exactly cheap but seems like a really good ball.

I was hesitant to hit the same brand consistently, but I decided to for a round and haven't looked back. Getting used to a ball and having confidence in it is a key step in the right direction.

After looking through my "reserve stash" of 500 or so, I found a dozen E6s and went with them. Relieving to have done so. If you want a deal on a certain type of ball, let me know! I'll have it.

I'll hold you to that! I live in Illinois so it would be a quick pay & ship. I do want to try a variety of balls[unsure what's best for me], but not really liking the fact that I will have to purchase a dozen just to see., and i cant afford those expensive balls/dozen.

I'm obviously not sure what you have, but if you do have a sleeve or two of a ball that would work well with a swing speed of 100, [well my ball speed is 136, so i'm guessing my swing speed]. I don't have a slice really, the driver if I don't stay disciplined in my swing(but iv'e been doing fine recently). That would be great. green spin would be nice.. but im more worried about keeping the ball straight and long.. but obviously don't want just a distance ball, as my iron/short game is good enough to be effected by balls stopping on the green. I'm just blabbering I know.

I use the Nike 20XI-S. i played doral blue monster and shot well with them so i decided to stick with them. They feel nice

Bridgestone E6. Recently started using this based on suggestion I received while getting a new driver. Great ball.

I have always had a mixture of "premium" balls in my bag, could never decide on one... recently ive been using the Srixon Zstar XV tour yellow, they have to be by far the most durable tour level ball out there !! If i dont loose it i can easily get 18 - 36 holes out of it without a single mark...

Peformance is comparable to ProV1x, Penta etc...

I really just use the prov1 and x but I have a mix of high end gballs in my bag. I find about 6-8 a night of various balls. Rough is long on the holes and frequently balls are just sitting in plain view.

In my bag I currently have 11 yellow z stars, a dozen hex blacks and a dozen pro v1's and then maybe 6 random balls that are just found or something. I am kinda set on the pro v's but I am open for one of the other balls to impress me. Neither has too much but I sure like that yellow. Its really nice walking up and knowing exactly which ball is mine.

No assortment, I have the last 9-12, Taylormade TP Reds (custom number 58) and then some Taylormade Penta (custom number 58), which I will be playing for the next couple of years.

For those of you who have more then one type of golfball, especially higher end ones, why? What is the point of having 3 or more variations of balls in your bag?  Am I one of the few that only plays one ball

I don't have a lot of premium balls laying around, but my reason is because I'm still unsure which type of ball I'm able to hit well off the tee. Cover, compression, 2piece/3piece, spin, etc.. So i'm just trying to figure it out.
