Looks like the bullies are out in full force on the forum.  The one liner attacks are at full throttle. That tells me that the bullies are very bored, have nothing productive to do but spew venom instead.

WAIT AN IDEA IS APPEARING ON THE HORIZON!

IT IS AN AIRPLANE TOWING A MESSAGE

IT SAYS GO OUT AND HIT SOME GOLF BALLS INSTEAD OF HITTING OTHER POSTERS.

HMMMM Good idea

Can you please define "bully"? Is it someone who simply disagrees with you, or is there more to it? Thanks in advance for your insight.

Jon, sorry you are frustrated in here, but you know, this forum is FULL of very nice people and ones who are knowledgeable and willing to help.

But like in all places in this world, there's always that 1 or 2 @$$#oles who likes to ruin it for everyone and the semi @$$#oles who thinks that they are high and mighty

and will question you without any regards to manners. (I wish I can meet them in person and show these bullies an effective way of bone breaking)

So if anyone offended you or is being inappropriate, just flag the post.

But yes, this is one great forum with very good members. =)

The definition of bully and bulling is self explanatory by reading this thread link  It is like a pack of dogs on the attack (It was not started by or initially directed at me but I'm sure it will be now) http://thesandtrap.com/t/61012/playing-concepts-versus-swing-mechanics

TAUNTING is another descrption that comes to mind

Keep having fun in here.

I'm not a genius, but I'm pretty good at reading people and reading the words they say. I can spot a person using two profiles (or more) to wage an agenda filled tete a tete pretty quickly. I'm not alone. Bullies start threads insulting people who've had the balls to call them on their incessant bullshit. Too bad you can block mods, eh?!?

Sorry, I still don't understand your definition. Guess it's just not as self-explanatory as it should be to me...... As a relatively new member of the forum, you may not be familiar with the history associated with that particular individual, but if that's the standard by which you define bullying, you might want to withhold judgement until you gain some perspective.

I didn't know you can block mods in this forum. In mine you can't.

People actually have 2 profiles on a golf forum to cause problems? That's sad

Patrick was the prime offender but he's far from the only one. Not the topic here though - this thread is about bullies, not trolls and fake profiles.

Maybe people wouldn't be so bored if the trolls around here were more creative. Oh wait, that was a 1 liner... Damn.

I don't know about bullying, but I joined the forum about a week ago and this place appears to be afflicted with about the same number of bored people with low self esteem as any other forum. A guy claims he can hit it 300 yards? Goody for him. Who cares if his swing shows that he's probably delusional? Lotta piling on in that thread, long after the OP ran for the hills.

Those threads get started like every week. It gets pretty old quickly and the people who can take some ribbing without excessive butthurt and actually are willing to learn do improve, and often become contributing members of the community. Those that act like little 7 year old girls don't stick around and we don't really chase after them.

Before people start crying for their Mommy about forum bullies, they need to look at their own behavior.

What did they do to contribute to the responses?

Of course, maybe some people can't find any fault with themselves because of their oversized ego.

Or maybe you take things personally.

Don't.

Eh! so Patrick, the ocean guy and myself and Robert aren't interesting enough for you? Geez!

Taking the above advice may lead to destruction of your golf game. Laughing at it may reduce stress.

I agree.  The best way to deal with nuisances is to just ignore them and they go away.  What amazes me is when there is some ridiculous post and then it get entertained for 30+ pages and the OP hasn't been around to entertain them since the it's inception..now that is funny.

Stick around JR..you bring fresh air in here.

    • Day 132: did some mirror work while watching TV. Worked on backswing stuff primarily.
    • 26 Nov 24 -  It was not a record breaking round by any means, but rather a simple walking of the back nine today playing TBWB (two ball-worse ball) where the challenge is to play the worse of the two shots played - could be an errant drive from the woods, a tree knocked ball that is 100 yds farther back down the fairway, a nGIR ball as opposed to a GIR….the goal today was to stay no worse than bogie thru nine.  Managed to achieve that goal - bogied 7 holes with one dbl and one par to counter the dbl.  It’s about staying focused and not letting a bad shot or lie derail, but rather be an opportunity.
    • Day 208 (26 Nov 24)- Opted to walk 9 today (was the back nine as they had a huge group going off the front) but instead of it being persimmons and blades, I had the regular gamers but made it a TBWB (two ball-worst ball) round.  This really challenges on several fronts - ball striking to be as consistent as possible, course management from non-optimal lies and keeping your head in it as it can be depressing to nail a shot on line-on target and the second rattles the trees right and it’s over 50 yards back and that’s the one you have to play.  The goal was to be no worse than bogie overall (+9).  Finished the round exactly on the number with some solid recoveries, no penalty strokes and only one 3-putt.
