He did, it's called Nike Golf

Tiger's irons are already forged from Zolex by Miura-san and sprinkled with the tears of unicorns. I don't think Titleist or anyone could offer him something better. :-P

Not sure where Tiger would go that would be any better and Nike has some of the best minds in the golf industry designing their stuff, so if anything leaving Nike would be a downgrade equipment wise.

Anyone who has played Nike clubs over the last 2-3 years knows their equipment is right up there with the top manufacturers.  Most of the equipment out there right now is pretty comparable when it comes to quality.

Apple doesn't own an aluminum mine. They bought the rights to pretty all the production from a mine in Australia. Apple is a good example of how the modern production world works. They make nothing. It is all subcontracted out to asian ODM.  The kicker is that Apple is big enough that these ODMs will do things like build plants just for apple.

Now if your told me that samsung owned an aluminum mine, I would be not be shocked.....

They could afford to buy one if necessary.

Very few companies control the supply side of their products the way a company like, say, Apple does. Apple bought an alluminum mine to ensure they had adequate control over supply and quality for their iPad cases. Now THAT'S supply-side control.

That's what I get for quoting one internet source and not doing my own research. Apparently Apple's commitment to take the bulk of production from whatever mine was key in keeping the cost of the iPad down.

    • Played 27 Holes today made 7 birdies today finally birdied the 1st, just the second and third left to birdie.
    • I’ll pass that along to him and his people.  👍
    • Played my second round (ever) at the course that I think will be a home course for me next year (the complex has two 18s... I have played the other 18, but not in over a decade).  Birdied #13 to improve my away composite to five birdies and a total of -4 (I still have yet to par a hole nine in 2021 ... anywhere).  My two-round composite at that course is a 77.  By contrast, no birdies so far at my home course (well beyond two rounds played... and at least three scheduled in the next two weeks!), and three holes there I've yet to par.
    • Jesus, it’s not just white people who are offended. Just because he isn’t doesn’t mean many more native Americans are not. This line of logic is just idiotic.
    • I talked to my buddy, 100% Navajo, about this thread.  His response was to shake his head, laugh and say “Leave it to the arrogant white man to tell us what we should be offended by…” Just thought I’d share.  I’m sure the arrogant white men here will continue to tell him he’s wrong though…  😂
