Hi guys! Thats my first post so I am not sure if I am right here ;) So my problem is: I made a few videos of my swing and saw that I had too much weight on my front foot at impact (about 90%) My head was on the left side of the ball (right handed). The results are deep divots, fat and also thin shots (slice too!!). Today at the range I tried to not put so much weight at my front foot, but it seems like I cant stop doing that. Thanks in advance for any replies!!!

That's not too much weight. PGA Tour pros get 90% of their pressure forward at impact. It is, however, weight forward "improperly" because your head has gone forward.

Adding to what Iacas has mentioned, just feel like you lower body moves towards the target (which carries your weight there) while your head remains at or slightly behind the ball into impact. Looking at the picture, and reading your analysis, it sounds like you have a fairly good understanding of the swing, so think of the followthrough being what carries your head forward into the finish position rather than the weight shift.

Take a look at the left wrist, it's bent (cupped).  IMO that is what's causing those fat/thin shots.  Ideally we want a flat left wrist, meaning the club shaft, and left arm are in line at impact.  Check out this drill

I also think that impact position looks pretty solid, especially when you get that left wrist flat.  Here's a video as to why it is important.

One other thing to mention.  As I said, I think your impact looks great, but your head seems too forward.  I think this problem can be addressed simply by moving the ball forward in your stance some.  Here is another video.

Doing a balance check might be a good idea too, either by putting your feet together or putting one behind the other on a line perpendicular to line towards target.  Helps to keep the head in place and not putting too much weight on the front foot.

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow. 
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills. 
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness. 
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.    
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
