No....not yet on XBL....only the free demo, a bunch of courses, a 14 course pack and the Masters Edition upgrade. The full version of the game is not yet available for download on Xbox Live Store.

I made one called, exactly, "The Sand Trap CC". In the sense that I'm a staff member, that's the official one, I guess. I'll check it later.

Well, I had "luck" as in: it worked. Did I enjoy it? Not at all - only controller for me...

I only started the Xbox 360 one, but that one does have ~25 members (max is 100 this year). I think tristanhilton85 started the PS3 one (but I don't know his PSN name). FWIW, my Xbox gamertag is Jamo358.

I did... on the PS3 it is named "The Sand Trap" (I left off "CC" since the badge that it puts already says Country Club and it seemed redundant to me). My PS3 name is Tristan1027.

Well, I'm just SOL all around I guess.

TW14 is not available for download on XBL....and I really don't want to have to go out and buy a physical copy.....I will if I have to.

I'm unable to locate "The Sand Trap CC" on XBL. I only get "The Sand Trap". Maybe it's because I have TW13?

It's different country clubs for different games. I did make one last year for Tiger 13 though. Maybe it has expired or something.

I bought the game last month and have been playing it steady since then... not sure what to really make of it really. Sometimes I really enjoy it but there are times where you hit your drive into the brush and like someone mentioned earlier the trees act like theatre drapes. There's no chance if you've made contact with trees. The crowds are horrible, the animations are terrible also I find when you make a long putt or winning stroke. The putting has gotten better I think but can at times still be frustrating. It just doesn't seem like EA put as much effort into the game as they do with their other sports series.

The fact that you have to purchase additional content is ridiculous as well.

2K Sports should create a golf game imo. They've managed to completely trump the EA Sports NBA series.

They wouldn't have Tiger. No Tiger, no sales. No one would be able to get the "simulation" golf game down like EA has. The only way I could see another golf game selling well would be a new Mario Golf. That's the only way I could see an "arcade" game working.

Gotta disagree with you there.. 2K Sports' games have been morerealistic than EA Sports as far as simulation style games go the last 5 years or so. They continue to be if you look at their Soccer and NBA games out currently. You're right about Tiger, he's obviously got a commitment to EA but I wouldn't rule out another company from producing simulation golf. If the game is produced as just say for example PGA Tour '14 there would be an expectation that all current PGA tour players would be playable and no matter how big Tiger is, he's still just a tour player.

There's probably some legal issues at bay but I'm sure it can be done somehow.

    • Never practiced golf when I was young and the only lesson ever taken was a driver lesson. I feel like I'm improving every year. However, the numbers don't support my feeling about improving. I usually drop to 12-13 during the summer while playing the familiar courses around home and then go on golf trips in the fall to new courses and increase to end the year between 15-17. Been a similar story for a number of years now but hey, it's the best thing there is in life so not too bothered but reaching 9.9 is the objective every year. Maybe a few lessons and practice could help me achieve it since I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing, just playing and never practice.
    • I am semi-loyal. Usually buy four dozen of one ball and only play that until out and then determine whether to continue or try another one. Since starting my semi-loyal path to success, I've been playing the below, not in order: ProV1 ProV1x ProV1x left dash AVX Bridgestone BXS Srixon Z-star XV I am not sure if it has helped anything, but it gives a bit of confidence knowing that it at least is not the ball (while using the same one) that gives different results so one thing less to mind about I guess. On the level that I am, not sure whether it makes much difference but will continue since I have to play something so might as well go with the same ball for a number of rounds. Edit: favorite is probably the BXS followed by ProV1/Srixon Z-star XV. Haven't got any numbers to back it up but just by feel.
    • Will not do it by myself, going to the pro shop I usually use after Cristmas for input and actually doing the changes, if any, but wanted to get some thoughts on whether this was worthwhile out of curiosity.
    • In terms of ball striking, not really. Ball striking being how good you are at hitting the center of the clubface with the swing path you want and the loft you want to present at impact.  In terms of getting better launch conditions for the current swing you have, it is debatable.  It depends on how you swing and what your current launch conditions are at. These are fine tuning mechanisms not significant changes. They might not even be the correct fine tuning you need. I would go spend the $100 to $150 dollars in getting a club fitting over potentially wasting money on changes that ChatGPT gave you.  New grips are important. Yes, it can affect swing weight, but it is personal preference. Swing weight is just one component.  Overall weight effects the feel. The type of golf shaft effects the feel of the club in the swing. Swing weight effects the feel. You can add so much extra weight to get the swing weight correct and it will feel completely different because the total weight went up. Imagine swinging a 5lb stick versus a 15lb stick. They could be balanced the same (swing weight), but one will take substantially more effort to move.  I would almost say swing weight is an old school way of fitting clubs. Now, with launch monitors, you could just fit the golfer. You could have two golfers with the same swing speed that want completely different swing weight. It is just personal preference. You can only tell that by swinging a golf club.
    • Thanks for the comments. I fully understand that these changes won't make any big difference compared to getting a flawless swing but looking to give myself the best chance of success at where I am and hopefully lessons will improve the swing along the way. Can these changes make minor improvements to ball striking and misses then that's fine. From what I understood about changing the grips, which is to avoid them slipping in warm and humid conditions, is that it will affect the swing weight since midsize are heavier than regular and so therefore adding weight to the club head would be required to avoid a change of feel in the club compared to before?
