Demoed the Titleist AP1 rions last weekend. Hit great but I am deciding on regular or stiff shafts. I am a 10 at 52 years old. Have been hitting stiffs for 20 years. What are your suggestions on whether to stay with stiffs or go regular. I assume my swing will slow down over the next 10 years. I can still swing with speed but will regs cause me troubles? Thanks

my honest suggestion is to look at the KBS tour shafts... they make an "R+" shaft thats in between regular and stiff. its about $15 per club upcharge for the shaft over the dynamic golds, but might fit you alot better! best of luck!

I just got a new set of AP1's and I was basically in the same situation on shaft decision. With the help of my fitter we decided to go with the Dynamic Gold XP stiff (no up-charge like the KBS) and then have them soft stepped, so they play between stiff and regular. So far, I really like them.
