You can really see it on your driver video 8/13/15 your head is way behind the ball this will cause you to hit up on it or hang back to much and release it left. I know it's much to ask swing like these guys, but doesn't it just ingrain a perfect mental image.

You know now that I remember that drive it actually went right haha. But, yes I do see what you are saying.

Today's driver swing. It went about 290 with a little fade. Carried 260ish and rolled a little downhill.

Here are some down the line swing views. I am fading/slicing the ball a little bit right now. I had a natural draw before I made my swing change. Changed from a very strong grip (left hand on top, right on bottom), to a weaker grip (back of left hand square with face, back of right hand square as well.) I now can't really hit a draw and always normally fade the ball and with by driver, hybrid, 3W hit a slice once every 3 swings or so. Here are two swings for you guys. @iacas any tips from you?

This was about a 5 yard fade. Sorry for the speed at the end, guy stopped it soon lol

This was today with about a 30 yard slice. any eagle eyes out there know what is going on? Thanks!

More fade/less draw is exactly what you would expect from changing to significantly weaker grip. You'll eventually get used to squaring up the club from that position, change back to the old grip, or find something in-between.

Tips? This was a 21 degree Callaway Apex UT. About a 10 yard fade trying to hit it straight. Is it fading because I'm not getting it square/coming OTT? Or my alignment?

Take a look at your position left arm parallel coming into impact -- the shaft is almost intersecting through your neck, which is extremely steep. It fades because that's your only choice from that position.

Need to get your arms working together a little better, I'd say. Here's a video that's helped me a lot with this issue in the past, from an instructor I really like. :-)

Let us know how you do!

I really liked this video. I'll try and post another as soon as I have time to go hit some more balls.

Should I be standing less upright at address? I've always had a dip, not that pronounced though.

No. Your setup is fine: you don't need the dip.

Here are two videos that I took today. Let me know what you see. Not getting very good contact. Either a pull (usual) or a nice draw. Can't really correct it by trying to feel because then I get behind it and hit it right. These came out a little lower that usual. New driver and I think that the ball was just a little too far back in my stance.

I will work on that with my driver. I will probably move it up to my front heel.

Hey guys. Took a break from golf for a few years and didn't come in here too often. Started up a business and now have a ton of free time to practice/play. I hadn't touched a club in over a year until yesterday. Let me know what you guys see here. I need to eliminate the dip in my swing still but for not swinging a club in over a year hitting balls, putting, and chipping did not go so bad.

Was hitting it just a little thin with my irons and a little fade-y with my driver along with a rollover foul ball down the 3rd base line. Going to hit the range a few more times before I finally go out and play. I want to be totally comfortable before I head out to the course.

Any thoughts on this?

    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
