With how early it is in our season there is no reason to rush it. Heck it looks like it's going to rain for the next 5 days. Just make sure your ready for the Newport event and Erin. Patience is a virtue

4 weeks after the injury and I can finally putt and chip the ball a little bit. I can do some slow motion mirror work as well. It feels great just to be able to hold a club again. Still no where near being able to make even a partial swing yet. Probably another two weeks before I even try slow little punch type real swings.

I asked him and he said that after the shot I would be good to go starting last week...he lied. :-)

It is a good thing that I have a new "Mission by Mathews" crossbow then.

Which one did you get? http://missionarchery.com/crossbows/

They all look pretty cool, but just be careful of this one .

That is old and was only with the first generation model.  If it ever really was an issue it has been corrected for a while now.

I agree, I'm sure that it wasn't a serious issue that couldn't be easily fixed.

They make some pretty fast crossbows. 400+fps? I wonder if PSE is feeling just a little insecure about Mathews? ;-)

Its a bad sign when the My Swing thread becomes a My Crossbow thread. Get well quickly Cipher, bring back the golf ;)

Not happening anytime soon really.  Tried to make some partial slow motion swings the other day and my ECU tendon popped out again to my delight.  Back to not even really being able to hold a club until it calms down.  I am making a trip back to the doctor's office on Thursday to give him one more shot at figuring this out.

Your breaking my heart bud. I'm sorry to hear that. At this point I'd maybe see if you can talk to a specialist for another opinion. Keep us posted. If you need anything let me know.

I know we talked last night, but keep the chin up. I've read a lot that says you can recover. I still think surgery may be an option, particularly since you want to play golf (the golf swing likely exacerbates things a bit with the ECU). Otherwise, that double wrist strap thingy looks like it could work pretty well. Or, again, a staple gun and a candle. ;-)

Fingers crossed for good news on Thursday.

Trying, it is a good thing I have some huge projects going on to keep my mind distracted at work.

:-) I probably will get one of those wrist strap things.  I will post what I find out later Thursday.

You're still young, and will bounce back. No matter how you feel now, you'll get better!

Like everyone else stated already, stay positive. You're one of the bright lights on this forum for me to reach out to. . .

    • Rory and Bryson are two of my favorites for some time.  This was a great watch.  Poor Rory looked gutted and (heat?) exhausted at the end there.  Bryson play US Open golf - Captain Scramble.  Avoid the blowups and accidentally find a birdie on occasion and it goes far,
    • 2nd shot into a short par 5. I had ~185 left but was just off the fairway to the right with some low tree limbs in front of me. Aimed at the water and hit a punch slice 4 iron that started low under the trees, rose higher as it kept going, cut towards the middle of the green, carried the water and rolled to ~25 feet for an eagle putt. Lipped out the eagle putt but never going to complain about tap in birdies.  It was one of those shots that I've done before and was a perfect yardage gap. I have a punch 4 iron swing that I know goes right at 185, and I can cut the ball much easier than I can draw it, so it was actually a much easier shot for me than it appears to be in the picture. I would have been fine if it would have over cut too, rough isn't very penal here so it would have been an easy chip from short right.  Although to be fair I didn't realize/remember that the water cut in as far into the fairway as it did, I thought it stopped right around the left edge of the green.
    • I absolutely LOVE my new Titliest U505 3 iron.  It was slightly chunky looking at first, but I don't even notice it anymore after just a couple rounds with it. It's super easy to launch it high and I have no issues flighting it down either.  Perfectly fine to hit off the tee for tighter tee shots and for 2nd shots into par 5s. Even the mishits go much further than I think they should, it's quite forgiving.
    • Obviously I'm not you and you have a far more mature swing than mine, but swing length is an issue for me as well if you see my swing thread. What I'm finding is more the difference between arm plane (vertical) and shoulder plane (flat), more the arm runs off (length) uncontrolled. It could be coincidence.
