Got offered a ping free fitting? Does this mean I have an obligation to buy the driver?

Bit unsure about this now, there is a free fitting at a local driving range, they get you on the trackman etc.

Are you obligated to buy the driver do you think?

I know at my club it is generally free fitting for buyers when the manufacturers show up,  but am not going to say that is what it is there

well the advert says

Ping day tomorrow at Driving range. Two spaces left to have a fitting with the Ping fitter but anyone can have a try.

So I guess that it will be free??

Is absolutely try to hit as many different shafts as possible. That's likely to be the big learning point, and the best info that you can take to another driver if you chose to....

You are not obligated to buy anything. They are counting on making an impact upon you, and they will, if they can get you into the correct product that would benefit you. If you start striping it down the middle with 15 extra yards, chances are that when you are ready to buy, you will have some loyalty.

A local Ping rep is a client of mine and he says that he expects a few buyers but more folks taking advantage of the offer for the fitting.  His experience is usually less than 50% buyers unless he has new gear that has lots of positive publicity and draws better crowds.

You're not obligated to buy.  PING makes great drivers, though.  If you're in the market, you could do a lot worse.

If you've never had a fitting its a good experience. You might come out of there surprised how ill fitting your current clubs are.
