I've been Playing Golf for: 6 years

My current handicap index or average score is: 76

My typical ball flight is: A cut off the tee

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: A cut or blocks to the left.

Was going to record a Down the Line view but since it's raining I can not do that today. Ill try to put it up as soon as possible.

6 years this is your swing?

Your chicken wing is v.bad still. Your right hand upon impact is being folded up to compensate for your lack of turning. You realized your body/arms do not have enough space to released to club fully ?

Lastly the flex of the driver you're using is wrong , you have a v fast swing. either you slow it down or change shaft! Your shaft is flexing way too early causing hooks v often\!

cheers

I obviously don't play off 15 , how gullible you must be believing the handicap index here on the forum. I can declare i play scratch but who can confirm? Same for everyone else - i can post 70 , 65 , 90 who is able to ensure all rules and regulations is being followed?

Grudges aside are you saying the picture i have uploaded and the facts that i have stated regarding his swing is untrue? If yes then please enlighten me on how he can improve or his swing is near perfect and flawless? If not I'm just being plain honest and saying that within 6 years of training practicing and learning his swing should more or less be sound and smooth. No offense he's a young sporty guy whom I'm sure plays other sports as well , so changing his swing and improving consistently shouldn't be a problem at all for him.

Unless of course he has been practicing the wrong thing for the past 6 years then too bad yeah

The "flexing" you see on the video is not real. It is a result of how the camera records each frame. http://thesandtrap.com/t/34727/shaft-flex-as-seen-on-camera-photos-or-video-rolling-shutter-illusion

While it's true that someone can self-report any handicap they want, it seems unlikely that someone intent on providing swing advice, such as you, would intentionally inflate theirs.

Then again, I haven't been able to follow your "reasoning" on a lot of your posts, so I guess anything is possible....

Well I guess thanks for the advice guys!?! Opening round for district was today and I fired a 69 at home course. I do need to work on my chicken wing though. What drills or tips is there to help keeping my right arm straight through impact?

Besides being rude, this isn't very helpful. "you realize your body/arms do not have enough space to release club fully?" .... if he did then he would fix it or say that he is working on it...

I see the your left foot comes up too early as you go into impact, which can lead to thrusting your hips towards the ball, which isn't good.

I wonder who on this forum is a PGA tour pro, disguised as a normal player..

    • A 5400 yd course is not that short for gents driving it 160 yards considering the approach shot lengths they are going to be faced with on Par 4s.  Also, for the course you are referring to I estimate the Par 4s have to average longer than 260 yds, because the Par 5s are 800 yds or so, and if there are four Par 3s averaging 130 the total is 1320 yds.  This leaves 4080 yds remaining for 12 Par 4s.  That is an average of 340 per hole. Anyway, if there are super seniors driving it only 160ish and breaking 80 consistently, they must be elite/exceptional in other aspects of their games.  I play a lot of golf with 65-75 yr old seniors on a 5400 yd course.  They all drive it 180-200 or so, but many are slicers and poor iron players.  None can break 80. I am 66 and drive it 200 yds.  My average score is 76.  On that course my average approach shot on Par 4s is 125 yds.  The ten Par 4s average 313 yds.  By that comparison the 160 yd driver of the ball would have 165 left when attempting GIR on those holes.
    • I don't think you can snag lpga.golf without the actual LPGA having a reasonable claim to it. You can find a ton of articles of things like this, but basically: 5 Domain Name Battles of the Early Web At the dawn of the world wide web, early adopters were scooping up domain names like crazy. Which led to quite a few battles over everything from MTV.com You could buy it, though, and hope the LPGA will give you a thousand bucks for it, or tickets to an event, or something like that. It'd certainly be cheaper than suing you to get it back, even though they'd likely win. As for whether women and golfers can learn that ".golf" is a valid domain, I think that's up to you knowing your audience. My daughter has natalie.golf and I have erik.golf.
