I wear a glove for two reasons:

* It helps me anchor the club in the left hand more consistently.

* I have dry skin, and the glove helps keep away blisters. The Bionic Glove is really good for this. (Note: the synthetic gloves seem to irritate my skin more, and don't last very long.)

Leather gloves will last longer if you wash them every few weeks to get grime out of them. I use saddle soap to restore leather moisture.

I totally agree when I first got the golf bug I would play in a blizzard let alone rain. Now I have come to my senses and only play in the rain when in a tournament or if I get caught in the rain and it doesn't take much for me to bag a round if the rain gets heavy.

No glove, it never feels right. Even in below freezing temps, the cold weather gloves stay in the bag-unless someone I'm playing with wants to use them.

No glove for me for a couple of reasons, just another expense I don't want to incur, just another piece of equipment I have to maintain, I hated taking them off and on, and I think I have better feel for the club without a glove.  In the summer months, my gloves would be so soaked with sweat that I wouldn't use them, which I found out I just didn't need them.  I also use a corded grip and have for many years, I just don't feel a glove is necessary for me.

I used a glove for many years and switched to no glove for a couple of years.  Last year I went back to wearing a glove.  I feel that it gives me more stability and power.  I had the tendency to be too handsy on the backwing and follow through.  Even if it is just mental, for me it has improved my ball striking.

I wish I didn't need a glove but I do. My palms sweat like crazy, its kinda gross. My wife won't even hold hands with me!

I also only use cord grips for the same reason. My hands are full of calluses but at least I can hold onto the club.

    • Day 80: did about 10 minutes of mirror work while taking a work break. Working on slowing things down to really get these feels down. Need to feel like that front shoulder gets really low.
    • Day 286 6-15 low point control using towel on the ground. Making a bit of progress there.  No ball. Worked on lowering arm, hit foam balls. Recorded
    • Day 42, June 15.  Played 18 today.  Shot 86, no birdies.  Played the par-3s in +2 and par-5s in +1 (there are only three).  Played the 11 par-4s in a total of +12, three triples and only two pars.  One of those triples was a 4-putt (in my defense, it started at the collar, it's a very long par-4 that required driver 4-wood, and the first putt was from 66').   I haven't calculated strokes gained yet for the round and I'm very very curious.
    • Driver might be out of the bag indefinitely. All I got for success on camera and ball flight is like 50% swing speed. Anything more and it’s all over the place and strike is all over the clubface.  I got no athleticism/flow right now with what I want to do. It’s too dangerous for me because the swing will just get too long and unstable at P4. It’s very robotic feeling right now.
