For those days when you just feel like making golf harder, I introduce you to my Titleist Lite 100 2 iron :-)

Was able to get it out there 220-226 consistently when I struck it well, but only struck it well about 1 out of 3 times. Still, look at the size of that thing, I'm just happy I was able to hit the ball at all with that thing!!!

Alternatively, the ball is so big relative to the size of the face that it's almost impossible not to catch some part of the sweetspot ;-)

So, because I actually had some success and had fun playing with the partial set of old irons I started looking at trying to find the PW and 8 iron that were missing from the set so I would have a full set when I go out again. Wow people want a bit more for clubs than I expected. There was only one option for an 8 iron and the person wanted 29.99 for it with free shipping and the only option for a PW was 19 *I see now that it was marked down to 15.20* but also had shipping of 12.40. So I was looking at nearly $60 for the 2 clubs I needed to complete the set. That left me a bit annoyed and caused me to look at other options. Eventually I settled on a set of Mizuno T-Zoid Pro 2-PW with dynamic gold stiff sensicore shafts that I was able to get for $30 + 11.04 for shipping. The grips look to be in pretty decent condition as well. Seemed like a pretty good deal because the original price was 44.99 and even trade in value via PGA is higher than what I ended up paying. Even if I play around with them and don't like them the cost was low enough and the trade in value high enough that I probably wouldn't even lose out on anything.

I wasn't necessarily looking for anything new, just wanted to get an older set of forged irons to play around with every now and then. I'm happy with my Pings still, just wanted to mix things up a bit every now and then. I figured for ~$40 these would be fun to mess around with.

Shoot. Had I known, I would have given you the old blades that were in my shed before I left. I ended up donating to Goodwill.

It was way passed time to record some swings so I made myself go to the range today. Overall not too bad, but I did see a bit of regression in keeping my spin tilt away from target. That said, there was still some improvement on steady head and inline impact positions. Neither were perfect, or even all that great, but they were better than they were before.

 

7 DTL swings, pretty consistent. Not perfect, looks like I need to get more hip turn too. Still, not too bad.

For the most part it has been. The temperatures have been nice, the only issues have been some pop up rain showers and gusty winds this week.
