Hello all,

I am very new to golf and was introduced to it by my boss. We had a meeting up in Telford recently and he persuaded me to hit a few balls on the driving range. It turns out that I was pretty good for someone who has never hit a ball until 2 weeks ago.

Anyhow, he then persuaded me to play a few holes with him and I have to say it was like I was posessed. I absolutely loved it and am now thoroughly hooked!

I need to get some clubs pretty sharpish and dont know what to get. My budget is realistically around £150.00 for my 1st set (wife's rules!). Another friend said I should buy some Wilson Hyperspeed clubs as they are relatively cheap and very forgiving for beginners. Also, you pretty much get everytjhing you need in one hit (Irons, woods, Hybrid, putter and a bag).

Has anyone any experience of these clubs?

Thanks

L_J....

Having just graduated from a starter set myself, I had a look at the Wilson Hyperspeed set you mentioned and they look great. Its got a hybrid club which presumabely replaces a more difficult to hit 3-iron. Looks like you might need to pick up a putter and that gives you a little more freedom in putter choice.

Welcome to the forum and golf addiction in general... once you're hooked it's tough to keep the rest of life in perspective... you've been warned!
