Are shafts for fairway woods typically heavier than driver shafts?

I currently have a Mitsubishi Diamana Blueboard 63g stiff shaft in my driver and love it. Now I’m thinking of getting one for a 3 or 5 wood. Should I stick with the same weight or is the conventional wisdom a fairway wood shaft should be a bit heavier?

Driver: Ping K15 10°, Mitsubishi Diamana Blueboard 63g Stiff
Fairway 4-wood: TaylorMade RocketBallz Tour TP 17.5°, Matrix Ozik TP7HD S shaft

Hybrids: Callaway Diablo Edge 3H-4H, Aldila DVS Stiff
Irons: MIURA PP-9003, Dynamic Gold Superlite S300, Sand Wedge: Scratch 8620 56°
Putter: Nike Method Concept Belly 44"
Ball: Bridgestone Tour B330-S

From what I've done, and seen other players do, they go about 10 grams heavier in the fairway wood shaft.

If you're driver shaft is 63g you will need a 73g in the fairway.As the shaft is shorter you will need extra weight to keep the same swing weights consistent...

Not necessarily. Check out the specs of the shaft and 3 Wood on the OEM website. It also depends on your physical characteristics. There is no rule. Just play what fits you

      Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
