Strange question (age 3-10, shot length?)

1st paragraph - That's what I figured, majority of the kids coming to the course won't be able to hit the ball very far.

2nd and 3rd paragraph - Holy crap, your daughter is getting really good!

Question - Do you think your daughter would enjoy a course with these specifications?

Par 3 - 60 to 90 yards

Par 4 - 120 to 150 yards

Par 5 - 160 to 200 yards

Is there anything that you would change that would maybe specify to her age more? Would you play the course with her if well made?

I think your shortened course would be very attractive to kids.  My daughter's favorite course in the area is a little par-3 course that's the only lighted course in the state, with holes running from about 90 yards to 140 yards.  She has told me that she likes the length of this course, but I think a good part of why she likes it is the novelty of playing at night, plus this is the course where she had the 85-yard 7-iron two summers ago and last summer she saw me hit a gap wedge to a couple feet for a birdie on a 105 yard hole. In August we were on vacation in Michigan and the Ferris State University course has kids tees on their course with really low greens fees for those playing from the family tees and she was very interested in playing there.  I also wanted to see how the course and tees would be set up and play from the shorter lengths, but a bit of rain that week messed up our activities schedule and we ultimately decided to go canoeing and fishing on our last day instead of playing golf.  One thing I've seen people do is for their 10 and under kids, have them treat the 150 yard marker on a typical par-4 or 5 as their tee box.

I'd absolutely play a shortened course with my daughter.  I played only a couple of times a year for the first five or so years after she was born just because I wanted to spend time with my family and felt guilty about taking basically a quarter of a typical weekend to play a single round of golf.  I'm really liking the fact that she enjoys the game and has some natural talent at it (she's not a prodigy but I suspect that if she keeps up the interest, she'll be able to play at least on her high school team), as it lets me combine one of my favorite sports with family time - no guilt trips any more.  Unfortunately, none of my daughter's friends play golf.  I suspect that she'd be even more into the game if she had a friend or two who we could regularly take out to one of the local par-3 courses with us.

I would also play your shortened course, it sounds like a cool venture.

There should be a standard range for adults, because mostly dads will be "forced" to bring their kids and will want to have a chance to improve their own games. Even hitting nets with ball speed monitors would be great.

This would be a perfect place for kids to meet other kids.

Typically the longer than 500 yards but shorter than an exec courses are part of a bigger facility. There is a local facility here that has an 18, 9 and two par 3's. One is the old standard pitch and putt, straight holes in the 50-65 yard range. The other offers more at 1100 yards including water, sand and elevation changes. the longest hole is 205 yards. It would be good for the kind of thing the OP is talking about but not limited to that. They actually host a ladies league there and it's not uncommon to see golfers of all abilities out there because it's good clean fun. It's spread out enough people ride carts to play it. I played it a bunch last year. It's quite challenging.
