it was an unrated par 60 exec course..........LOL As I was saying.....a score without a slope/CR is meaningless!!  But yes, I broke 60............Hehe...which means nothing!

LOL, yep. I shot a 59 on my dad's executive course. Par 63. It was actually rated, at 61/100 or some such, if I remember right. That damn differential kicked my butt for 20 rounds!

A couple of times on that little course, but I just can't count them.  Something like 4,000 yards.  Fun little course that tests the heck out of your wedge game though.

75 on 18. 36 on 9. The back nine on my home course is 9 of the most unforgiving holes I have ever played. I have shot 36-37 on the front many, many times only to turn around and shoot a 45 on the back. Actually shot a 38 on the front today, and a 44 on the back.

Back in the mid-90's when I was much younger.

Shot 86 on SSS 71 measuring 6186 Shot 83 on SSS 66 measuring 4552 I'm really not sure my best score carries much meaning. Pro's I think get a real buzz if they have a shot at a 59. Its one of those once in a blue moon things. To me the best rounds are where you are in control of yourself despite the score. My best one was breaking 100. Took 53 on the front nine but knew I had the game to finally do it. Went round in 44 on the back just a great feeling and basically in my mind knew I could break 90 as well and did that next round as well. Massive buzz probably why golf is so addictive.

I currently have 3 rounds that I consider my best..... I've scored lower on lesser courses, but these are what I consider my best rounds:

Drumm Farm Golf Club....6,564yds par 72........72.5CR 137slope...........Score: 68  4 under par.....HELL YES!....4.5 under the CR

Drumm Farm Golf Club....7,133yds par 72 .......75.1CR 141slope...........Score: 72...it's only even par, but 3.1 less than the CR!!

Stone Canyon Golf Club...6,633yds par 72.......73.2CR 141slpe..............Score: 71....my best at the new track. 2.2 under the CR

Differential wise, the 68 was the best, but the 72 is close behind!  I'm sure the 71 ranks third.......  but I consider all these fairly equal when length, CR, and slope are taken into considerations.

    • My rule of thumb is a PW for everything from 100 yards in except specialty shots like a flop or a low runner.  I find it easier to eyeball it for distance and swing on feel for the distance I need to hit
    • Day 3: Worked on putting at different distances focusing on matching the backswing and follow-through lengths.

    • Circumstances led me to being off golf for almost a year.  Finally played a tournament two weeks ago, without touching the clubs and having to use my old set which had been passed down to dad.  Shot in the 90's with multiple bad holes.  Another tournament today and decided to play.  Much better round.  3 triples, 7 bogeys and 8 pars.  Two of those triples were courtesy of an OB and one was thanks to bad shots.  But overall much happier than 2 weeks ago.  Even managed to get runner-up in open stableford.  If those three triples had all been bogeys would even have been in contention for the open
