I must be missing something here. You take your first lesson, and already your questioning your instructors qualifications re: what he thinks is best for you..? As you post here, asking what we think. In my mind, it shows you don't have any confidence in your instructor. When I've had lessons, I never second guessed the pro I was working with, I did the drills he prescribed, and I got better over time.

Unless someone like a Very low HC golfer here, or one of the Pro instructors says "maybe" what he told you may be suspect, I would go with the flow, and concentrate on getting your swing better. At some point your going to have to Trust someone. Having 3 or 4 different answers to 1 question may not be the best thing. Just my 3 cents.

Im not questioning him, just making sure it all seemed on track. Now I read back on my post it did sound like I had no faith and just wanted a different oppinion but it wasnt. I will be going back to him in some point in time.

Well here it is, my new right sided swing after one lesson with new coach.

This is me just hitting a ping pong ball of a matt at home so this is not a full speed swing (60-70%).

Please comment, tips, likes, disliked whatever.

Ill put up a slow version later on.

As you can see swing has changed dramitically from my first vid since I have adopted right sided swing. Still dont have all fundamentals down but getting there and ball striking and ball flight has improved imo.

Should I be working on that because with the right sided swing they want fairly flat shoulder's during backswing??

Are you already working with a pro? If yes, then you should only really worry about what he has you working on.. If no, then I suggest you listen to these guys.. Trust me trying to learn the swing on your own is a long and fruitless endeavor, I've been down that road!

No I am with a pro at the moment that teaches the right sided swing, and I like it.

Just wanted some opinions on how my swing is looking and comments on if im doing it good.

We can't really help you with that. I don't know what he's teaching you.

I said what I said because you generally see most good players turned about 90* by the time the left arm is parallel to the ground on the backswing.  Yours isn't even turned that much by the top of your backswing.

@mackingchicken I watched the YouTube vids you posted on the Right Sided Swing thread...my initial reaction is that it is a method for people who aren't able to move well. What I mean is, people who are either: old, not athletic AT ALL, injury prone, or recovering from an injury. Not bashing the method at all, just sharing my opinion. We are all trying to develop a swing that produces consistent solid contact, with a motion that is repeatable for us.  If this method accomplishes that for you, stick with it!

As a side note, I don't think you will find many people (on this forum, or in general) that can comment on how well you are doing with the Right Sided Swing, because hardly anyone uses it.

I thought I would get that response haha. Does anyone on the forum know the right sided swing???

I would suggest sending the swing to your right sided swing instructor.  Even if someone on the forum is familiar with the method, it would be best to check in with your instructor to make sure you're on track.  No one on here knows what he told you so we can't say whether you're implementing the changes or not.

There are actually a few players using it. Especially in Aus and asia tour apparently
