I recently started the P90x, and have NEVER done any workouts that are similar before I started it. The first week was murder, but after that, you start to get into the swing of it. I saw instant results in flexibility and core strength. If you feel you're not ready to move on to the more advanced DVDs, you can always just continue with the workout you're on until you're ready...but definitely a great idea for winter workouts when you don't feel like venturing out to the gym at night.

Haven't seen it anywhere else but here tis.  My wife bought a total gym a few years ago.  Surprisingly it is an excellent piece of workout equipment.  One can do many golf specific exercises and it is safe to use without help.  Not saying you can bulk up, but you can work on strength and flexibility which is important for gold.  For us older guys, safety and convenience is key and this meets both of these priorities.

I have  been asked this question several times. My stock answer is, if you want to play golf for a long time, do not neglect your legs, and back muscles. How a person trains these two areas is up to the individual, who should be seeking out expert advice.

A whole bunch of Tour Edge golf stuff......
