  1. 1. Would you be for a 15" cup as an option for golfers?

But I think your chalk idea wouldn't work for the same reason you don't like just putting twice and taking a 6.  You're not really getting a score and there is no "closure," if you will.  Hmm, did that last one graze the inside edge of the chalk, or the outside?  Would it have fallen if there were a cup there?  I don't know.

Well sure, but those are rules you'd have to establish with your partner/group at the outset. Does it count if its on the line or does it have to be fully inside? Also, unless you're playing for money, your score is really what your conscience says it is. If you're satisfied with it being on the line, take it. If not, putt again. I'm just trying to find a way to allow these variables for different levels of playing ability without tearing up the golf course or the need to create special golf courses.

In the bag:
Lady Tiger Shark 5 Hybrid
Lady Tiger Shark 9 Iron
Adams a70S Hybrid Gap Wedge
Adams Lady Fairway 1007 Putter

I have insight on this because I have only recently taken a few lessons and started improving my game. Earlier this year I was scoring 150 for 18. I can tell you from experience it was always a relief to get to the green. The green represented the area of the game where there was the least difference between me and my bogey golfer friends. The frustration that almost made me give up the game was the inability to get the ball in the air from either the tee or the fairway. Topping a iron shot 3feet is way more humiliating (espeasially the forth time on the same hole) than missing a 6 foot putt. Also, the hacker foursomes that I have played with that are just out having fun tend to be more liberal than 15 inches with their gimmes. I don't have the answer but in my opinion niether does the 15 inch hole. Respectfully,

Respectfully,

I would never play a course with non-regulation golf holes.

I played an exec course once that had 2 pins on ever green with different color flags.   One was a big hole that I am not sure the diameter of.....and one regulation cup.   At least they gave players an option of which flag they played to.

What's in Paul's Bag:
- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Driver
- Big Bertha Alpha 815 3-wood
- Callaway Razr Fit 5-wood
- Callaway Big Bertha 4-5 Rescue Clubs
-- Mizuno Mx-25 six iron-gap wedge
- Mizuno Mp-T4 56degree SW
- Mizuno Mp-T11 60degree SW
- Putter- Ping Cadence Ketsch

    • Since 99% of my tv watching is YouTube videos so is my golf watching. Seems to be mostly British stuff.
    • When I got to Florida this season (seasons instead of years since the years overlap) one of the guys asked what I had done, said I was about twenty yards longer with my driver. Said that I had a different driver which was true but looking back it’s really the shaft that’s been the difference. It’s similar in principle to the Autoflex in that it’s light weight and also light flex. Since most of my clubs are bought used I have difficulty finding senior shafts most of the time and being old and slow that’s what I need. Bought the Callaway driver, for several years I preferred Ping drivers, because they only had a couple of used drivers with senior shafts in my price range and it’s been probably the best I’ve had. Longer and very forgiving, decent distance even on my mishits and almost always in play. Keep in mind that my swing speed is probably under 70mph.
    • Day 17 - First round of the year. It took me about 6 holes to remember how to hit off grass. Short game was lacking, but the round could’ve been much worse. It’s nice that my new “bad” is my old “good.”
    • Yes this was what I was thinking you have two golfers same 5 HC same swing speed 110Mph ...one you changed the driver head to a 10yr old model head but the same loft etc the other you changed shaft ...now if its just 10yr old shaft of the same flex weight etc it would be more so the newer head IMHO ..but if the shaft was changed to softer flex lighter than player was use to then the shaft would be the winner IMHO
