Dude, I post in mine almost daily. Post away.

I'll post like 4 videos in a week and they all look almost identical...but I can go back and see/read things and re-remember something I've forgotten or neglected. That's what this is for.

When you say that maintaining bent knees can cause lumbar issues, do you mean immediate problems or long term? Should I be concerned that I create this much of a shoulder turn without straightening my knee or do I just have an unusual amount of flexibility?

Does your back hurt now?

I think you're just a flexible dude, if it doesn't hurt now you should be fine. Also it looks like your knee still decreases in flex somewhat, we don't want it to lose all it's flex.

BTW your tailbone is too far behind you at address

Whoops i posted that in the wrong thread

I moved it from the Myth thread to this one

Ohhhh ok thanks I was really confused lol. Does my tailbone being too far behind me mean I'm squatting to much?

No, knee flex at address looks fine.

I was making some natural swings today like I'd do on the course and hit a lot of good shots right where I wanted them to go. I think I've made some progress keeping the club in front of me because I hit my first pull in years about a third of the way through the bucket lol

Check out this drill, will help you sequence the arms with the pivot.

So I should work on keeping my elbows as close as I can during my swing? Sorry I'm having trouble figuring out what i should take from that video. I get kinda lost when explanations are really technical lol

Your swing gets very long on the backswing, makes it hard to time things on the downswing. So rather than have the arms lift excessively, you'll keep the upper part of your right arm on your torso.

The tee or glove in your right arm pit will make sure that when your backswing stops, your arm swing will also stop. Things will be more in sync on the downswing instead of having the arms trail the pivot which leads to contact and path issues.

Ohhh, cool I'll start trying that. Thanks! That makes much more sense than the drill I've been doing

When you do it correctly it's going to feel like you're making a half backswing. Just wanted to warn you ;-)

Yea I made some practice swings with a glove under my arm this morning, it felt so short yet was about at parallel lol

Wow I hit a large bucket of balls today and... I think I'm about to start playing holding a tee like that

I am finding a lot of similarities between our swings. You do a great job with your knee action. I'm pretty envious. I saw a couple things that you do with your right knee that I'm going to try myself.

    • Day 312 - Better finishing position, fuller backswing, PRGR to see how swing speed was.
    • Going to a Friendsgiving tomorrow and I am bringing a no-bake cheesecake. I make the crust too big, but I think it turned out good. The filling is really good.
    • Sure, but how was your alignment? 🙂 Day 53 - 2024-11-22 Mirror work after getting back home. Wife is a superstar for her career/job/whatever.
    • I would say your back nine is the second nine you play that day. It's part of what makes getting some of those holes tougher. Or, if 18 holes are played pretty often, out of A, B, and C, and you often play A and C, A is the front and C is the back, regardless of the order you play them in. That way not birdieing C #7 isn't overcome by birdieing the easier A #7 on a day you played it C-A instead of A-C. But, at the end of the day, nobody really cares except yourself.
    • Day 128: played 9. Nice little even 9, with 2 birdies and 2 bogeys.
