Practice Stroke During Your Putting Pre-Shot Routine

I used to all the time, however recently I've just done better by getting up there and hitting the putt. Strangely I've been much more accurate with my distance control that way so I've stuck with it.

i voted "Yes, always. It helps me distance control" but im not sure it actually helps me control my distance.

i will try without and see how it goes.

Yes, I take 2 on longer putts and one on shorter putts. It seems to help with my distance control and keeps me in my routine.

Went for Option 2, the long putts. Depends a bit on how long is a long putt here, but I would say I do a couple of quick(ish) practice strokes for anything over maybe 15' or so. I think it helps me with the feel for distance but I've never actually done the experiment.

I rarely take a practice swing, I've hit thousands of putts in my time, I don't need practice.  I'm wired to get my read and hit the putt, no special reason other than I find my first instinct is usually right and if it's not, no amount of "grinding" will improve it.
