Every weekend, I take my son bowling after playing 18 holes.

Today was special.....................


I bowled my first perfect game!   Boo Yaa...........   Fun stuff!!

David...

Surprisingly, it wasn't hard for me to pull the trigger, but my hands and knees were definitely shaking!!  LOL   My heart had to be beating 160+..............

This was the 4th time I've made it to the 10th frame with a chance at perfection after 3 previous fails.  I made a point not to go faster than normal or slow down and take extra time......I normally bowl pretty fast and I stuck to my normal pacing and let it go for better or worse.  I tried not to think about anything except .................."smooth release.....same ball speed". Speed control when amped-up in the 10th was a factor in the previous fails.

The most exciting part was doing this while bowling with my son!!  I blocked out my surroundings in the 10th frame so I didn't notice anything, but the center was packed and I knew I had an audience.  The bowlers to either side of our "pair" of lanes stopped bowling all together while I was in the 10th, and this was almost a distraction in itself!  After being there and failing 3 times previously, I felt focused like never before.

I couldn't be happier to get my first 300......it means a lot to me and my son.   I know a lot of guys who get stuck on 299 forever, and I am more than happy to skip past that step all together!!  LOL (my previous high game was 288)   My son and I talked about the game afterwards, and I took great joy hearing him talk about how he felt.   He said he tried to lay low as not to distract....and he said his heart was beating fast too because he was nervous for me.  LOL

I have a golf themed bathroom down in the "Man Cave" where I have my hole-in-one plaque and ball displayed.   I may need to make room for a 300 plaque too :-D

All the hand-shakes and high-fives in a packed house was a son of fun afterwards.  I am a TYPE A personality and savored the moment..............hahaha

It took 30+ minutes for my heart rate to go back to normal afterwards.....fun stuff!!

You definitel can be proud of him - only thing you have to teach him is how to add 100mph because with 14.xx he isn't going to hit very far:-D
