Hi,

Great site!

I have been lurking around for a while and decided to create an account today.

I am 41 years old and new to the game. I played a bit as a kid and have wanted to start playing again for a long time, but have not "dared" to do it since I knew that I would be very hooked to the game if I started. Well, now the kids are getting older so I decided to start playing this autumn together with a couple of friends that are newbies as well. And, yes, my suspicion was right...I am very hooked to this sport already (my wife was not to impressed when I tried to make a green in the back garden....)!

I have not an official handicap yet, but I plan to get that directly in the spring. I come from Sweden, so unfortunatelly we have quite a long winter:-( I do think that there is an indoor range not to far from me though, so I plan to maybe get there about once per week in the winter to get some practice done.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and thanks for a fantastic forum filled with knowledge. I do not know how much I will be able to contribute, but I am sure learning a lot by reading this forum.

Welcome to the forum @MacTS

Many of  us started playing later in life.  It is a lot of fun.   There are also other forum members from Sweden including another new member @blackizzz and long time forum leader @Zeph way.
