Im sure this question has been asked many of times but Im doing pretty well the last couple of weeks with my practice sessions. My issue currently is I feel like Im getting a little stuck in the downswing which is causing some blocks to the right. Not crazy/awful blocks but blocks nonetheless. What is the root cause of "getting stuck" in downswing in most cases?

There are a few reasons a player can feel stuck. Looking at your handicap, I would suggest you work on this drill or post a swing video.

this makes sense. My instructor has narrowed me down to 2 issues:

1.) Sometimes I get to handsy and throw my hands at the ball too quickly

2.) HE states I don't turn all the way through the ball, like I stop...

#2 seems to be the big issue which also would make sense as to why the ball is going right at time because im not finishing. The issue is Im not sure how to make that last move getting all the way through the ball....

Yes that drill should be a good one for you.

To me those two issues are symptoms and not the cause.

FWIW, every time I've attributed a miss with getting stuck or stalling my pivot Erik, Mike or one of the 5sk/Evolvr guys have diagnosed something earlier in the swing and they've been right every time.

    • Glad it helped!   I had a range session last night and it has really taken the left side of the course out of play for me which is nice.   Maybe fading them a little too much but that's less devastating on the course than a snapper for sure
    • Day 265: played 18. Took forever and wasn’t at my best. Iron and wedge play is decent though. Then went to the driving range and worked on my priority piece while filming.
    • True.  Scotty is not playing the field (so to speak), he’s happily married (best we can tell), and seems to have the personality to kind of ignore all the hoopla.  The strange thing with Scotty is it seems he can’t crack the code to have the love of the crowd - - he’s definitely cracked the code to winning everything in sight.  Albeit the bizarre situation where he got arrested, but remember how that all went down, the guy reached in and punched him in the face (I believe), and Scotty seemed to take it all very very low key.  Evidence?  Open your eyes, look at the results, look at the trends.  There’s 15 years of evidence! Phil total cowboy?  Hadn’t quite heard it put that way - I guess you’re talking about the gambling?  or the move to LIV?  In any case, a very different type of scenario for Phil.  I’d say that Phil optimized his talent and probably got as much out of his career he could.  If anything, Phil was not so great physically for quite a while, but he trimmed down and extended his career
    • You don't know that for a fact.  You can't even provide evidence that supports the factors you listed out.
